Can we sweep all Home games this year?

Until we see who the QB is and if they are capable of running this offense it's premature to think this team can improve this year with the "mess" on defense...the New Mexico game is the swing game, if the offense looks good by that game then this team could make some noise in the conference, if they don't look sharp for that game it will probably be a long conference season..unfortunately Purdue isn't on the schedule.

I can see the point somewhat in that there are no games that seem unwinnable ala OSU, but no.

I think Iowa is our best chance for a big win. Athletically they are more in our league than UM.

Seriously../a dream season is we find a way to beast Washington on the road and start 3-0...and create hype for Iowa...play of the two Iowa and Michigan tooth and nail but fall back to 3-3

Split with Illinois and Minnesota...4-4

Bear Indiana 5-4

Lost to Michigan state 5-5

Beat penn state and Maryland to get to 7-5...4-5 in confrence and end up in the gator or San Fran bowl

That is our best case for 2016 that I think we have any reasonable chance to hope for...and it will take a lot to get there

This thread is about HOME games.:boxing:[cheers]:boxing:

Never admit defeat before the game is played. That is nonsense IMO. If you go to the game and complain about everything you don't help the team. Hopefully, the stadium will be electric for all home games and we have a chance to win each game.

That doesn't mean I would bet on us to run the table. I just cannot understand anyone who admits defeat today for games to be played in the Fall. Change the loser mentality. Make a lot of noise if you attend the games.

I sure as hell hope the STAFF and TEAM feel as such, on game day and all that week, but we are FANS making realistic predictions (well, sone of us are realistic anyways...), in April. All good buddy.

I understand what you're saying about the mess on defense; mostly the linebacker corps. BUT, with the change in CB coverage, playing press vs. 10 yards off the line, and the hopefully improved D-line, I am cautiously optimistic.

Not about running the table, but I think the team can show a great deal of improvement. And, although the D-line might be a strength, I don't think we have the depth that we would all like.
One thing I'm curious to see play out, if the coverage is better, it certainly allows the D-line more time to disrupt the backfield (sacks, hurries, miscues). That added pressure on the QB might, in turn, make life a little easier for the secondary. It is like a well oiled machine . . . in my head. LOL.

Didn't we recently read that only two corners are really seeing reps? Austin and...drawing a blank, think there is some lack of depth in the secondary...as is Hamiltons rebound from injury, too many questions in defense right now at all levels...

Why you raining on my parade? LOL. I just told you, in my head, everything was roses and sunshine. LMAO.

Apologies...like a spring shower, everything will be alright!!!

I have to stay positive in the off season, evens me out when the regular season gets here. Truth be told you're right, depth is big problem in more than a few spots. It'll take a while, but haven't been this optimistic for a CHANGE in a long time.

You never know what will happen, but even in the closing years under Schiano, the staff was constantly changing. I feel like this staff is looking to make an impact together. If successful, they won't be here long, but I'm hopeful it won't be the wholesale changes year in and year out.

Perhaps because Reppin is a FOP (Fan of Pedophilia). I wonder how many of our RU fans here realize that they are responding to a PSU troll when Reppin' posts?

Perhaps, but the responses were not obnoxious or negative. There are fans that I don't want on this board, but those that come here to have a REASONABLE discussion about stuff related to I don't have a problem with.

If another team's fan crosses a line, call them out on it, but let's not look for fights where none exist.

I'm all In on Ash as being a good choice to be the head of the program i just think realistic expectations for this seasons should be subdued, flood didn't leave the program
With much in terms of big ten quality offensive or defensive lineman and didn't develop QBs. It's going to take a couple of years before ash gets the guys in that can compete at a high level. I know you don't want to hear about PSU but look at all the trouble they have had in recent years because they hadn't recruited very good offensive lineman, I worry Rutgers faces the same dilemma in the coming years.
Give it two to three years and a guy like Oden will be leading the offense that fits the system and he'll have greater depth at the skill positions and in the trenches, I think this staff can develop players but they first need players that can be developed into big ten EAST caliber players.

Mike as I've had to say on other threads I realize there are certain posters on here that like to troll every post I make, the ignore feature is a beautiful thing...I can only see your responses so I'm guessing someone else is trolling my comments here. IIRC me and you usually disagree on things but i appreciate that we can disagree In a non confrontational way...

It is one thing for another team's fan(s) to come over here and behave (like kjb, for example), but it is another thing for them to misrepresent who they are and engage in a dialogue under false pretenses. If you let yourself get played by a PSU troll, then you are as big of a loser as he is.

Well, I was only having a discussion. You don't know me from Adam, and I'm a loser?

Sounds good. Judge much??

If we go 5-7 or even 4-8 and if one of those wins is over Penn State, Chris Ash will be idolized by most RU fans
