One hour documentary aired on ESPN this week. A very interesting glimpse into Chris Herren's struggle with addiction as he speaks to high-school kids at various school assemblies. He was a basketball player at BC, Fresno State, Nuggets and Celtics.

I think this is a new one. He's now spoken to over a million kids.

Herren was a terrific basketball player. Maybe biggest recruit BC has had and was key to keep a local kid. Had no interest in being a student athlete. Early injury at BC was a problem, but he was a ticking time bomb. Amazing that he was able to continue playing at a high level at Fresno and in NBA with continued drug use. Great story to see the turn around and positive impact on young kids. His son is a nice role player at BC.

I teach 5th graders. Our PE teacher for health always shows the original documentary. Amazing story and shows how quickly you can lose what you have, and how long you have to fight to can even a little back. Looking forward to seeing the new piece
