Fatso is on simulcast on FS1, then switches to FS2. Two channels I always have to hunt for, lol.Mad Dog, who I always liked better is on a big time channel.

You are wasting your time with either one.

FS1 is in twice as many channels as MLB network, the problem is Francesa's ego. Plus Russo's show on MLB is not his radio show, it's just a show.

Russo and Fatchesta are still dumb and dumber as far as I'm concerned. That said I am happy that Fatchesta seems to be getting his vagina tied in knots because Boomer and Carton are moving in on his popularity. (article)

But dumb & dumber should be happy to know that after all this time I am finally ready to take a loyalty pledge... From now on I am officially a Boomer & Carton Firster.

Mike is Losing it. Daily News April 4.

To think that Russo has anything over Francesa career wise is laughable. Fatso has won every battle since they split. Is Mad Dog even on Sirius anymore?

Speaking of Radio Sports....there will be a few live remotes from the NY Auto Show between today and Sunday. Bill Daughtry, Hardesty & Linda Cohn, Dave Rothenberg. Sunday Michael Kay from 12 - 2 and Joe Klecko will be signing autographs at Mazda from 1:30 till 3. Love that guy.

Oh please. "big time channel" my fat white ass.

Russo sucked at TV before -- remember "Mad Dog Live?" -- and he sucks now.

The reason they worked well together is that one took the edge off the other's insufferable pomposity and the other kept the first one grounded in as much reality as he could pay attention to. Separately, they are pretty damn hard to take, and one is impossible to listen to.

And that's coming from a Giants fan.

Met both of them once after they did their summer thing at Bar A about 10 years back, as you would expect Russo was much more approachable, a real nice guy.

I agree with this sentiment. As someone who is in the sweet spot age wise of their radio careers (I'm 41), I'll always have a sorta affinity to them. I spent countless days listening to them between 6th-12th grades. When I would return to the area, I would tune in and while not a 5 hour a day kinda guy, I did listen daily to get their take. There were tons of funny moments on that show. Now, they are both pretty much unlistenable, even though I do still tune in for a few minutes everyday to see what they are talking about.

They are the classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.

In terms of Mike, the most frustrating thing is how lazy he has gotten in his preparation. I get that he was a single guy committed to his craft in the beginning and now he is married with 3 kids. But we are talking about basic show prep and keeping up with what is going on. His lack of show prep in college football, hoops and pro hockey is astounding. And I'll even give him a pass on the hockey. But to spend the time he does on college sports and be so obviously out of touch with what is going on, is pretty unacceptable. Nobody expects him to be a recruiting guru, but he should be held accountable for not knowing the basics when it comes to rosters, common opponents and the general vibe associated with the Top 25. And he doesn't anymore. He still thinks he deserves credit for being a CBS college expert 30 years ago. Hey Mike, it's not 1987 anymore.

Together they really were the best. It is so typical for these shows to focus on a single topic and beat it to death for hours. These two managed (actually Mike still does this) to keep rotating the topics, which keeps things moving.

Even if you don't like them, you have to give them credit for making 24 hour sports talk radio a reality. When WFAN went all sports, nearly everyone thought it was a joke and that it would quickly crash.
