I just saw Coach Schiano on a show called Re-draft with Tres Wingo and I think Mark Brunell, where they looked at last years draft and speculated who the teams wished they might have picked. Is this something new for him? I don't remember seeing anything about it previously.

Given how wooden and dour he has always been with the media, it was a bit of a surprise to see how engaging and animated he can be. I guess the change is warranted, now that he is a member of the media.
Actually ..many people should tell Wingo to shut up more often. I don't think I've ever heard a more self absorbed windbag ..when I listen to ESPN which is less frequent. he usually states about 4 paragraphs before he asks someone a simple question.
He actually has a likeable personality on tv that doesn't really fit hit his reputation as some insane control freak.
He will get a good gig soon. Or maybe just fall in love with commentary like Gruden did. Never thought he would have been able to not coach this long.
