Cole Snyder

Yeah, except Towson is FCS. Buffalo is FBS.
Buffalo and other MAC teams beat B1G teams. That's a difference in level of play.
But little difference in the should have kept him cries once a player who transferred out of Ruthers plays well.
I'm not knocking Cole or Tom, but pointing out how anyone who leaves RU and plays for a program that faces a lower level of competition ( FBS and/or FCS) wunds up as the star Rutgers let get away , showing how he's doing ,against lesser talent than he'd be faing if he stayed, as prof of being a should have been kept at any cost type of player.

Snyder is being treated like would have been a shoe-in for the RU HOF , if he stayed.
He was fughting for 3rd string and left for greener pastures and is succeeding at a program that he can use his talent, the best, because it fits in with the type of competition the Bulls face..
Flacco was the same.and I think Simon would shine at a lower level because ,I feel, Evan's not a P-5 talent like the two who did great after leaving RU for places their talent fit best.

Covered and nope.
And you have no idea what string he was "fighting for."

Did the coaches make a mistake with this one, it is looking that way….but time will tell how big of miss it was.
A mistake? That implies that RU ran Snyder off. Absolutely no evidence of that. To the contrary, his HS coach pretty much confirmed that Snyder could still be a Knight if he wanted to.

Did RU recruit over Snyder? Without question.

Is that a bad thing? Not in my mind.

Did Snyder believe he would get a fair shot to win the job? No, probably not.

Was that an accurate perception? I guess we will never know.

Any point in discussing this further? Not in my opinion.

So I will stop.

25/49, 238 yards, 2 TD's, 1 INT

Not exactly stellar stats for playing a lower level of competition.

Did you watch the game?
He was running for his life.
While not his finest game, Ohio's defense was swarming.
Still, he exceeded Rutgers' average yards/game by about 100. He has nearly twice the passing yards as all RU QB combined this year and a 14/6 TD/INT ratio, whereas RU has a 7/10 TD/INT ratio.

This post reminds me a of a thread about Wimsatt, which did not seem to consider a bunch of dropped passes. Sometimes the stat line does not tell the entire story.

Cole has a 131 QB Rating.
5th in the MAC
What's your point? The Ohio QB is ranked well above all others, with the rest bunched together.
A Rutgers QB has not sniffed stats like Cole Snyder's since Laviano or Nova.

EDIT- and he was one of two QBs in the grouping as a first year starter. Cole will likely (but then again, he may not) continue to improve each year.

I guess there's no stopping you, but I do not understand the fascination with ex-Rutgers QBs who are succeeding at lower levels of competition. I'm not picking on Cole Snyder; I thought the same about the Tom Flacco supporters.

You are entitled to your thoughts, and I don't care what you think about this topic.
It's a point of interest to at least me, and perhaps others to see how a former QB progresses.
We have watched Artur Sitkowski. Some followed Jonathan Lewis. Laviano's final year at LIU was tracked. If you are not interested, you can skip over the thread. I will keep it going.

Did you watch the game?

Yes, as a matter of fact I did. Beginning of the game he did not look good at all, at least one of his throws should have been picked. Haven't followed their schedule, but this time around they were playing a pretty good G5 team and it showed. I didn't see a QB who would have played any better under the conditions our QB's have faced.

Here are sobering stats to our passing offense since joining the B1G conference and the reality of the last 2 years.

We are 124th out of 131 teams Vs FBS teams in passing yds a game, 2022.
131 UMass 75.0
130 Air Force 78.6
129 Navy 96.9
128 UConn 103.3
127 New Mexico 107.4
126. New Mexico St 133.3
125 Army 136.0
124 Rutgers 140.1 (includes Simon 300yds vs Iowa, 681 yds, other 6)
*{108th with 26.7 pass attempts per game}*
123 San Diego St. 141.3

We averaged 159.1 yds a game for 120th in 12 games vs FBS 2021.

We have had 6 300 yard passing game in 8 years vs B1G conference teams
2022 Simon vs Iowa, 2020 Vedral vs Michigan, 2015 Laviano vs Indiana, Maryland, 2014 Nova vs Michigan, Maryland.

The reality is Cole Snyder was not given a chance to succeed at this level to find out, even though the opportunities to give him a start or two in 2019-2021 were there.

And RU is 4-4. That is absolutely amazing!

He's really tearing it up against Central Michigan, isn't he?

Threw for nearly 200 yards. Threw 1 pick. Buffalo's defense blows.
Still doing better than any RU QB.
Blah, blah, blah against lower competition.
Please stop. The only throws he completes are dink and dunks, and he has no pressure at all. When he does get pressured, he’s bad. He also has a slow release and is slow on his feet. He is no better than Simon and would be absolutely horrible in the B1G.

You are just a hater. Why the hard on for him? You have no idea what you are talking about. Just weird.

Snyder's Stats: 188/319 (58.9%) 2145 yds ( 215 ypg) 14 TD/6 INT.
Let's see, Simon is 71/121 (57.7%) 740 yds 4 TD/6 INT. Sure, he's not better than Simon.

Kind of strange how you are cheering against him. Did he bang your girlfriend?
Kind of strange how you’re obsessed and spend your free time watching a mediocre QB. Do you want to bang him?
