I can only go by parents of players that went to Stanford. In each case, the player had to be accepted by stanford first. Now, there may be some wiggle room for the top athletes but not by much. One thing they won't do is skip the process. It is the reason JP stayed committed to Michigan and did not go to Stanford. He asked for them to skip the process at last minute and they would not do so.

Applying the data in the article it looks like the average 2 part SAT scores of Stanford recruited athletes is somewhere between 1200 and 1250. I'd say that meets NCAA minimum standards.

Could be but he may also be looking for certain "types".

Something to consider is there will be movement up and down with ratings after the camps are over. 3* will become 4* and visa versa. Let's wait and see where they fall after the evaluations.

Hey, I would be happy with either Cory Bolds or Hansards. I want Vretman and Melton to be upgraded to a 4 star recruits and we would pass penn state in the ranking.
