Following Corey on social media, I see that he's on the west coast training and not in school at ru. I know he didn't sign with an agent, but with the costs of training and logistical expenses being away from Florida/NJ, is it fair to say he won't be back?

Good question and certainly cause for concern. Maybe Johnson knew something when he decided to transfer. I hope not!

I think he did the same thing last year. I believe he was able to take his classes remotely.

He'll return unless he wants to play in some middle eastern country.

He can probably play in Europe, get an apartment, and a car, and play for $75,000 per year (if you believe the internet).

I think he loves basketball but when he leaves RU he's going to make money in the music business not play basketball in Europe or Asia.

He needs to return, still needs to work on a few things. I expect that the scouts will inform him the same thing they told him last year.

we need Corey back in the worst way next season. Otherwise it's going to be a painful season to watch ... which I cannot bear to go back to. I actually enjoyed this past season!

I am sure he can take online classes.

Like other posters, I think the chances he comes back are not as high as once thought. Probably 80/20 now.

And only be over there for five months!

I don't believe the internet, but I am sure the numbers are somewhere in that range.

I really don't know how Sanders can stay eligible for college when he is training for the NBA .Its almost as bad as the one and done cycle at Kentucky where the freshmen are only concerned about staying eligible for the fall semester.

Probably because you have not personally experienced a 100 level online course. The level of difficulty in such classes is absurdly low. So, it is actually quite easy to stay eligible and nothing like comparing to an academic load (or lack there of) of a one done Kentucky player. Now no significant progress would be made to a students specific major requirements, but, you are still required to complete general areas of study.

According to him and his grandmother on his documentary in high school his plan was to play 2 years at Rutgers and move on. Don't see how this will change.

I wonder if Johnson knew about Sanders possibly leaving? His potential departure along with Johnson and Gettys would be a loss of 30 points per game for a team that struggles scoring 60 points per game. The next 30 days will be very telling as to the makeup of the roster and how many new players will be needed .

I doubt that Sanders is leaving. He would benefit greatly from Coach Pike, Knight and Hobbs by staying the extra 2 years, and he knows it. His NBA evaluation will pretty much be the same as last year

NO

Corey will be back next year barring NBA scouts evaluating him as an NBA caliber player. He didn't sign with an agent for that reason.

maybe he is secretly transferring to UNC where actually taking classes are optional ?

That's offensive.

Turning your computer on / off while cleaning out prefetch, temp, %temp% and reducing history of porn sites visited is an extremely valuable
skill / life lesson.

UNC should take pride in the information/ format they provide: not micro managing the professor or placing undue stressors
on the students by eliminating exams, midterms, finals, papers and attendance.

Kudos to UNC and the NCAA for making this new wave of information available to a society that hungers for fake news, opinions, factoids, gossip ,
paparazzi etc.

why are you sure of this ? The semester is over half over. You can NOT switch to an on-line course mid-semester. Also, SAS (arts and sciences) has almost no on-line courses at all anyway. SEBS (formerly Cook) and business school do have many, but again, you can not switch to on-line at this time. I suppose it's possible he found enough on-line classes to stay eligible, but I think it is doubtful.

Unless you're his academic advisor or part of the basketball program we all know very little.
