Did we lose to Kansas today?

They can do plenty to make me happy. That is where you are incorrect. I don't see progress and that is frustrating, and I will not tolerate it. I will continue to voice displeasure to the administration in the hopes that they finally realize we care about athletics at RU.

Don't insult my fan hood.
I guess you missed it..I already did...lol

This is the problem. We were so bad for so long there is still a pretty large segment of the fan base that is content with being ok (5-7 wins)
Its sad but true. Bottom line, all of RU's problems are funding related...Athletic and Academic.

Its actually amazing to see how many people support mediocrity. Lets strive for something better.
it's actually amazing how many bitter angry fans we have that project what other fans who are not bitter and angry believe.

Nobody is supporting mediocrity. I will not cry like a child on a message board over something I am not going to change. You sound like the crybaby who sits behind me in the stadium who pisses and moans the entire game. Thankfully he did not show today. It was one of the most enjoyable games I have had in 3 years.

Things will sort themselves out one way or another. And don't tell me what I support. I support the team and Rutgers University.

I found our performance today pretty pathetic. I don't put it on the kids. They played hard today. Unfortunately, we are a very poorly coached team. Penalties and TOs scream lack of discipline. This isn't rocket science.

Sorry, but you are clueless. How is 513 yards, complete control of the game and 31 first downs a pathetic performance? What's pathetic is our fans.

do you really not understand? SDSU put up an extra 2 scores AT kansas. memphis more than doubled our points scored, and had much more offensive yardage. san diego is giving PSU a game after we were held scoreless until a meaningless FG deep into the 4th quarter.

we are a bad, bad, bad team. putting up 27 on kansas and throwing them two INTs is not something to brag about. they have won 6 games over the last 4 years. they may go winless this year - we are the worst team on their schedule.

why is this acceptable to anyone here???

Dominating performances today:

Baylor
Georgia
Michigan
West Virginia
Iowa
Alabama

Dominating means the game is out of reach in the second half, not winning by less than two scores. We dominated Norfolk State. Not today.

And today was a lost opportunity. It was the weakest opponent we will face the rest of the year. What did we do on offense today that will help us against our B1G opponents? Are we seriously going to run a 4-3 defense against B1G opponents when they run four wide at times?

We would have won by 5 TDs if only Laviano did not fumble the ball away and didn't have those stupid offsides, holding and PI penalties.

Hey, I wasn't bragging, I was pointing out that the performance wasn't pathetic. Our game plan was to control the ball and the game. 31 first downs; please let me know the last time you saw that . Also, I would love for you to look our running backs in the eyes and tell them that their performance was pathetic.

Complete control of the game? The only reason they did not score when they were down 13 was because their QB was making inaccurate throws. If he threw the ball on target on the 4th down, they probably score on that drive (since our secondary has no impact on the play, an accurate pass is an almost guaranteed competion). Then they are only down by 6 and in a position to go for an onsides kick. All this, to the worst P5 team in the country. Please explain how that is complete control of the game.

Our D actually played decent. Their offense has been putting up some points.

Our offense, with a higher powered QB, should have put up a lot more points.

Funny game. We dominated many stats, looked bigger and stronger, but too many penalties and turnovers kept the score close. I thought Kansas messed up a big time opportunity to make it a 1-score game. Can't remember exactly when the drive was, but they started off with 2 big passing plays, then inexplicably tried to run on a 1st and 2nd down for no gain...and eventually turned the ball over on downs. There was still enough time for them to do an onside kick/score again if they had scored at that point.

I think this was a case where they overthought things. Our pass defense has been a weakness all year, and they had just completed two big plays...yet they went back to the run. Good thing for us...

Quoting or paraphrasing Politi is not allowed, Steve.

Pope Francis, is that you?

Message boards are for opinions, good and bad .... The eternal optimist can be just as annoying as the eternal pessimist, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Well damn. I thought it was because we didn't score more and keep them from scoring as much. Shows how little I know.

You cannot just spend most of the second half running out the clock when you are up by 13. With plenty of time on the clock, they had the ball on our side on the field. Td - onside kick - td was NOT out of the question at that point.

Yea shame on you for wanting more. Don't you know the negatoid police will come after you and berate you for having an agenda! Just celebrate the 2 or 3 win season and the fact that the QB with a much better bench is on the sideline.

OMG, the yentas are out in full force today. We dominated an admittedly bad KU team, especially on the ground, which was really nice to see and it would've been by 3-4 TDs without our turnovers, which are obviously still concerning. Our running game was great, Laviano was pretty good, and our defense was at least decent. Enjoy the win. And people posting about wanting to see us lose so we can fire Flood is beyond the pale. We're 2-2 and while I believe Flood should've been canned already for his errors in judgment and lack of discipline on the team, he's still our coach and I want us to win every game. Always.
You were on the cusp of forming a new and descriptive word. Instead of YENTAS ,you just needed to change the first letter. VENTAS.:sunglasses:

You will NOT tolerate it ?...WTFAU...you are going to complain no matter what happens with Flood or his successor...people like you deserve to be miserable throughout your lives since that is what you seek...

I support our coaches and players 100%.

You see that as supporting mediocrity this year. I see it as watching our young players develop and grow into a solid team in the future. I see a future that could be bright with these coaches and players.

You don't see it that way. I don't choose to complain about that attitude. I don't choose to complain about our coaches and players.

I do choose to complain about the people who refuse to enjoy a victory like yesterday, because they are obsessed with getting rid of our coaches. I do choose to complain about the posters who are more interested in proving they are right than hoping for success for our team. Not saying you are one of them. I don't really pay enough attention to the negative posts to know.

Yentas are gossips.

No one needs to gossip about this team, just read the police blotter and Flood's emails.

Do you honestly see development and progress? I haven't seen anything since 2006. We Have some ups and down since then but we are not getting better. We're stuck in neutral. This is especially scary considering that for a few years we were in an inferior league and should have been dominant in the AAC.

This is just false, because i'm actually less concerned about the W and L than i am about seeing progress. We're not improving as a program and the Administration has essentially frozen funds instead of continuing to develop it. That is unacceptable and I will be sure my frustrations are known.

The exhaust is wimpy, the stainless steel looks totally fake, and it doesn't match the stovetop.

Doesn't seem to be the problem here. Lots of air coming out. And suction? . . . . .

The hysterical Flood haters aren't smart enough to realize one thing- the administration has no balls. They would have fired Flood if they were going to. And if by some chance they do, they will get another crapshoot coach on the cheap who will be just as accomplished as Flood.

Their histrionics are misplaced. If they are so up in arms, go to the people that actually make the firing decisions. That ain't Flood. He isn't firing himself.

It is pretty clear who these drama queens are who don't understand what isn't an inch in front of their face.

Beating Kansas by 100 wouldn't have mattered to them.

We dominated from start to finish. The problem, as always, is that we have issues scoring points due to turnovers, missed FGs, penalties, etc...

theRU : The ONLY thing you want is to have Flood fired ...this is the agenda from most of the same posters who claim to only want the best for Rutgers...if and when Flood is fired, I can
guarantee the next head coach will be criticized after the first 2 game losing streak...and the best part ...it'll be the same one's again bitching the most...you can tell most of us are disappointed with what has occurred but those with more than several years seem to be a bit more tempered in the process... others then assume that is accepting mediocrity...Do we and should we expect better ?...absolutely Yes, unequivically Yes... mediocrity is not acceptable to those that donate and buy tickets but ...to daily and hourly bash the team, players and staff is counter productive... our fans and some alums have Leonte Carroo guilty as charged...every player it appears has been lumped in with the accused as thugs ...the media lumped everything into one big story carefully releasing info every few days in order to maintain the interest level and that is a fact...very well planned out...and as I said in another post...don't crap yourself if Kyle Flood is our coach in 2016...just find another team .

You people with your negativity make me sick. I really wish you aren't fans. I have been here for 23 years and I have seen worst. So I will take this win and enjoy it.
Yes, most people here think that Nova was the second coming of Dan Marino and not remembering how he'd throw interceptions, stand like a statue getting sacked when looking to throw the long one to his #1 target while others were opened, and running 5 yds beyond the LOS then throwing a pass. They also can't remember our OC's before 'Fridge' and how potent our offense was. Or is that impotent.
I think that we have 2 very capable QB's on our team this year. They're both young and learning the offense and speed of the game. It's just that right now Laviano is showing the coaching staff that he is the best of the 2.

Yeah gloss over that academic fraud.

There are not many coaches, nay people, who would do what Flood did, or at least put in writing.

But yeah, pointing that out is hating the players. Makes sense.

This is why I was so annoyed when Federico missed. 30-14 would have muted the board's most hysterical voices.

No it wouldn't. They are maniacal in their hate of Flood. We could have won 100 to 0 and they would have come here parroting their fire Flood mantra.

They have no real plan or reason to believe the administration does, but they like to do it anyway.
