just doesn't have it. I thought he deserved another year given everything that happened and him being an alum, but this is unacceptable. There is no hope for this program with him at the helm.

Getting embarrassed at home in a rivalry game with all the other bad losses tells us everything. Eddie has no passion. Any other coach would be lighting these kids up for such poor effort and worse play.

If Hobbs cares, which I'm sure he does, he will want to get away from this morass as soon as possible.

Talent discrepancy is huge between programs. Back to recruiting, which we can't do. Not one recruit for class of 2016

it will be a marquee hire for hobbs

Its obvious but I would not count on it..they just blew all this money on football..we can hope Eddie walks away

Maybe if people made more noise, the players would magically become skilled.

take your pick :

I'm starting to get really depressed, but will wait before I call for Eddie's head.
Don't blame others for wanting a change, but still think next season is what should make or break Jordan as RU's HC.

Oh he will no doubt be given this year and next, unfortunately no matter how hard we play we still won't have the talent to compete at this level, and with no recruits for 2016, there are no reinforcements coming, so unless we see a 13 win season next year in his Fourth Year as progress, we will then be looking elsewhere

I'd rather have Rice back than this disaster
His actions helped cause this disaster.
His teams played far more competitive, but the players under him didn't develop as much as they should have.
RU was a far better team with him, but I don't think Rice could make RU MBB into the winner others felt he could.

Bring on Amaker. His teams play like they have a brain and don't kill themselves with dumb shots. They also have a system and actually use it. Lastly, they give effort.

This Rutgers team is an embarrassment from the coaches on down. I thought Rice was rock bottom. This is on par.

Hobbs will care a lot. If the rest of this season goes the way it seems to be, and Hobbs think EJ is not the right guy, I think he acts

Did you get a load of the coaching staff sitting there? Like the 3 monkeys see no evil, hear no evil, talk no evil.

Nice man. Wish he would have been successful

It ain't happening. He is a horrendous coach

Time for Hobb's to clean house....its humiliating...way worse than bad....NO Passion or desire at all...asleep at the wheel collecting a check....Eddie was a good player but can't coach.

Players and coaches have come and gone but the results remain the same.Mediocre recruiting and the absence of player development have destroyed the mens basketball program to such a state that there is no relevance whatsoever in college basketball.Jordan's tenure is just more of the same disappointment for long suffering fans.

Left early. Couldn't watch it anymore. This is beyond littlepage bad.

No chance of winning the game but the game was lost as soon as Daniels was allowed to play more than one second.

Daniels and Diallo are barely high school players. It's laughable

Disagree with Diallo. Diallo will be good if we get a coach who can develop big men. Daniels is just out of control its brutal to watch.

Fred Hill coached better than Jordan has and his teams more competitive

This Is true although that 1-3-1 zone that Hill tried with the little guard in the back and Hamady jumping up and down yelling at the foul line was beyond bizarre and cannot be un-seen.

It rivaled the "Wenzel Weave".

I am willing to give Eddie this season and make a decision in March . If it's real bad a mutual parting of ways should be discussed .

Maybe we should shut down the basketball program for a few years.

Anyone see this from Eddie's post-game as reported by Carino?

Unprompted in the postgame press conference, Rutgers coach Eddie Jordan said it’s up to the players to solve the rebounding woes. “I told them I’m not going through rebounding drills guys,” Jordan said. “That’s not in my package as a coach. Rebounding is about heart and nose for the ball and wanting to go get it. That’s just not me as a coach."

If he "isn't about rebounding" as a coach he isn't about winning as a coach. I am stunned by this.

Someone should ask him if defense is in his package as head coach. I'm not sure it is.

Wow. Games are won and lost on the boards.

That could never happen, but it would be a good idea if it could.
Well guess the ND HC had it right when he told Christie RU should shut down its MBB program for awhile after Rice made it look like a rogue program.

Until RU starts funding RU MBB, don't expect Eddie to be replaced this year or next.
Hopefully those who said it will take Jordan 7 years to build a constant winner will be right and progress will show in his fourth.
As of now: those who claimed 7 years is to long, might be right the way the team looks now.
Looks more like infinity before RU MBB becomes good.
I still hold hope, nothing else I can do, because I don't think Hobbs is going to make a move to improve the MBB program for a couple of years.

It's really hard to defend Eddie's coaching. His substitution patterns are incomprehensible, our defense is atrocious and he oversaw an offense today that resorted to street ball as soon as they were down 10 points. Time to move on.
