The days of RU fans hoping that the other teams in our league stink, are over....... We are in the big leagues now,,,,,maybe that thought worked in the old big east.
Embrace the competition, rise up and compete.
----------Rah, rah. [eyeroll]
Maybe after we actually win something i'll start rooting for our division rivals to become even stronger.
----------
the point is that the league is strong, and will remain that way.... the best thing we can do is try to get there ourselves in talent, not just hope for some reason that the other teams fail at recruiting....they will not...this is not the big east anymore.
---What? You're only proving my point. Our division is already powerful. We have proved nothing to this point and its not going to get any easier for us.
If anything we WANTED the old big east teams to succeed because of the BCS system & our desperate need for a strong schedule.
We have a playoff system now. It doesn't matter how strong our opponents are anymore. Our success is dictated by our ability to get to the B1G championship. You get there by winning as many conference games as possible. So why would I cheer for that process to be even more improbable? Our ultimate goal is to win a National Championship, not celebrate the success of our opponents. I want US to become harder to beat, not them.
Schools have been using block letters for years. It been common well before Rutgers used it. I could see you having a point of it was a unique font or a logo. You could make the argument Rutgers ripped it off of Rydell High in Grease.the block R in those parts means Redondo. Seems like a blatant rip off of Rutgers.

Our buddy in Philadelphia tore up the same event last summer I believe and he is no longer with us. These guys are 17 and not throwing in a live scrimmage that means anything. Right now this is all lipstick on a pig..He looks the part. Let's watch him in action this fall.

the only thing I am trying to say here is that you might as well accept the fact that each year a lot of big 10 teams are going to recruit some of the best players in the country, and we should do the best that we can to equal that.... that is it....
It is not cheering for, or celebrating the success of others recruiting, it is understanding it is going to happen every year, and there is nothing we can do to prevent it....... I am not "cheering" for their success
you don't have to tell me that we have done nothing so far, I already know that..... I hope to slowly build to the level of a top big 10 team.... it will take time, but we can get there.
