Listening to the MD v. Cuse game, the announcers said more than once that the ACC has dominated the series. That’s true if you look at the fact that they won the first 10 years. But in the last 8 years, the Big 10 is 5-1 with 2 ties. Hardly “domination by the ACC” especially in the what-have-you-done for me lately world of sports. It’s one thing for a conference network to hype its teams, it’s another when the purported worldwide leader of sports news hypes one conference as its product. It’s nauseating.

Having said that, ESPN does not need to spin this year, the ACC is clearly better. The Big10 is young and should improve, but they are nowhere near as deep as the ACC. That does not making listening to the ACC hype machine any easier!

I have been saying it since last year. The B1G will have a good year. I don't think ACC will finish better than us. At worst it will be close.

This is all predicated on my thoughts that our middle will surprise. I am still expecting big things from Iowa and Penn State. If RU, Indiana, Illinois, and Nebraska end up bad I'll be wrong too.

The ACC has more high profile teams this season and generally attract higher rated recruits. The B1G is football and the ACC is basketball perception wise.

Analyst LaPhonso Ellis of Notre Dame fame was so biased in favor of Syracuse yesterday it was ridiculous. You would have thought Syracuse could score at will on every possession and was beating Maryland by 50, instead of the 2 point game it was. Over and over again he was critical of Maryland's interior defense, yet very little comments about Maryland's ability to shoot from the perimeter and 3 point scoring, vs. Syracuse perimeter defense. Impossible to listen to. I sure would hate this guy doing the Notre Dame game on Thursday.

LaPhonso Ellis was LOL bad at times last night during the Maryland game.

At one point he said Maryland had recruited Kevin Huerter for a long time. Maryland got on that kid in April 2015 and committed five months later. At the beginning of the broadcast he talked about how Cowan has been dominant for Maryland, and he has been scoring well for them, but in the two games before the Syracuse game the kid had 12 turnovers...and he's their point guard.
