Chalk this one upas a McNulty recruit. Wish he was still on the staff. I don't thus we ever got or evrn will get the full story on his not being here and why Hobbs fired him. A solid person with great credentials and coaching ability. Look where he is now. TE Coach at Notre Dame.
Every staff no matter how bad usually has a few good recruits.
McNulty was awful as the OC this time around. Year 1 - started Art first 11 games when clearly not ready. Year 2 - no meaningful progress against B1G defenses with top 2 QBs yet Nunzio was able to move the ball with the 3rd stringer and teams still had 8-9 in the box.
He damaged his reputation badly and is at ND only because of NFL background. Doubt he'll be a P5 OC any time soon.

I watched the first few minutes of the tape and it is damn good, he hits receivers in stride and runs well. We have had a lot of 3 star qb's come through our door and not pan out, hopefully he will be the one to greatly exceed his ranking.

QB is the hardest position to project, so in an ideal world, you bring in a few kids who all have the potential to be the answer at QB and hope one of them pans out. Right Simon is the only one we have in the program that has the potential to be the answer. And his skill set is tailor made for Gleeson's offense.

Seems like a Gleeson will be a perfect fit for him.
Glad to see this article. It's from April 9 so I assume he is home (he enrolled in January according to the article) and in touch with the guys from his area that Schiano is also recruiting. No specifics on who they might be but it can only help to have him cheer-leading the effort locally.
Hopefully he will be effective in the new system. Just be able to hit the open receivers, don't care if he can place the ball in a tight window, just make the basic plays will back teams out of the box.
