Hey Folks,
Will the lacrosse program open their scrimmages to the public? If yes, is there a schedule of games that we may be able to attend?

Thanks,
Joe

They will be open to the public. I am not sure of exact dates, but I know Umass and Loyola will be playing @ RU this fall.

I am not sure if there are other tournaments planned.

I would guess we will be seeing a lot of younger guys this fall. We have 13 seniors, most of whom have played a lot of ball. We know what we have there. I would imagine the guys coming back from injury will be kept on a short leash due to making sure they are prepared for the season.

Lots of young talent to check out. Would recommend going if you can.

The official date for the RU scrimmage against Loyola and UMass is 10/14.

It will be some quality fall lacrosse.

Umass @ 10:00AM and Loyola @ 2:00PM.

I am going to try to get up there to watch. I miss lacrosse season. Fall ball is nice but I miss the spring.

Good time to see the young guys in the program. Going to be hard for many of them to get a run this spring. 13 seniors, almost all of whom have pretty big roles.

I am excited to see Sanguinetti play for Rutgers. He is one of my kids and I am a big fan of him in general. Great kid.

That's great. Good luck to him. Going to be tough for him to get a run with the attack line playing in front of him right now, but with continued development, he and the other young attackmen are going to be relied upon.

Seems to have some Canadian characteristics to his game.

There has been talk of him playing midfield instead of attack. It is exciting to see Rutgers becoming this deep of a lacrosse team.

Can't have enough offensive middies, especially with our run and gun style.

To go deep into May, you need 3 solid middie lines and ideally 5 defensive middies that you can rotate, including a couple of poles.

With our style, that might even increase.

With the 60 second shot clock being experimented with this fall, I think it's a matter of if, not when that gets instituted for games that count.

Programs like ours who have a push it, aggressive mentality, will be innately comfortable playing at that pace.
