Fan Appreciation Day Set - Sunday 3pm - Clear Bag Policy will be in effect

I had a great time today. The players, both the ones sitting signing autographs and those mingling in the crowd, were up beat and personable. They all praised the new weight room. Coach Ash stayed until every person on line for his autograph got one. The new black uni is awesome as are the new red jerseys that the players were all wearing.

someone from RU told me they estimated about 1500 fans showed up.

Seemed like more than 1500

I actually thought 1500 seemed a little high.

It was a great experience for kids. They had bounce houses, block R tattoos, tackling dummies, mini soccer goals, mini hurdles, cheerleaders, etc. My kids had a blast. It looked like all the players were having fun too. Just tossing balls around and hanging out with fans, once they were done with autographs.

The weather could have been a lot worse. There was a nice breeze, plus occasional showers, which kept the temps down. They wrapped it up a half hour early after the crowd thinned out and the rain became more steady.

Tango, thanks for the heads up on the bag policy.

I told my wife about it before we left our house, once we parked, and as we were walking to the stadium. She chooses to ignore me and the three separate groups we saw returning to their cars who warned us she wouldn't be able to bring a huge purse in.

We get to the stadium and, would you believe it, the cops would not let her bring a huge purse in. She's arguing (politely) with them for a solid five minutes, after which she turns and asks me what I think. I start cracking up.... Like I was going to bail her out after that.

We have to walk all the way back to the car with the kids... She was so stubborn she had even told the kids to bring their backpacks.
