Couldn't find a box score. RAC was awesome.. Gary Waters coached Rutgers had some nice upsets with LOUD crowds. But LOUD RAC had been a thing on-and-off for a very long time.

In 2001-2002 Rutgers finished 18-13 and 8-8 in the Big East. No NCAA invite.. lost at home in 1st round of NIT to Yale. Sounds familiar.

We coulda used Kent, at a minimum, last year.

Part of the wins against four ranked teams at home that year. Being there that night, I really felt that game in particular, the crowd played a huge role in helping seal that win. You could see the Cuse players completely rattled on the student side of the floor in the second half.

Has one of my favorite ALL TIME moments as a fan. Treasured memory at 1:51:03 4mins left in the game and slow mo replayed at 1:55.07.

A roaring Saturday night at the RAC! We had just beaten UConn at home the previous Wednesday. A week to remember!

...then we knocked off Carmelo's Cuse team (eventual national champ) the following year!
The following year beating Syracuse with the Herve off the backboard 3 was my freshman year and one of my all time favorite games I've ever attended. Absolutely incredible. Me and my friend tried to storm the court but security blocked us and no one followed us 🤣

I remember sitting in 213 for that game. When we had the game in hand with under a minute to go, the Cuse fans from the 300s above us were filing out down the aisle. The looks on their faces was priceless

“A capacity crowd of 8,619.” Man, those were really the raucous RAC days. Lost my voice at that game. Jerome Coleman was unconscious with 7 treys, and a huge 20-point second half.

Was that the 4-point play? I think I remember a 4-point play to win back then.. maybe vs Nova?

BTW.. this game vs Cuse.. cheerleaders wearing black.. a bunch of fans too.. was that a fan black-out? Hard to do on weekdays.

Johnston Mitchell vs Nova in 2011 was the 4 point play - full court storm

Herve also hit another buzzer beater vs providence in 2004 - I missed that game, which I had tickets to and ate, to attend “Movin Out” in nyc

I wonder.. in the history of teh 3-point line.. how many times a 4-point play buzzer beater won a game. Has to be an extremely rare occurrence.
