He should basically fire himself like fassel did at the end of his Giants run . Fassel got to coach the last game as a folk hero and was respected on the way out by the giants fans .
If flood does this it will be a decent way for him to go out . The university can even honor him with a short video before kickoff against Maryland that won't be booed. At least he will go out gaining a little respect and class .

Would Flood also cheat on his wife with escorts and Jenna Wolf? Jimmy boy liked his mistresses.

Direct quote from Jim Fassel's wiki page- "During the 2003 season, injuries decimated the Giants and he was fired amidst some controversy."
Fassel never walked away on his own.. He was fired.

You really are a Giants fan ? And you don't know the fassel story ? Yes , he was fired but he walked into management's office with 2 games to go and they mutually agreed on announcing the firing that week . This way the Giants could start the coaching search openly . And how did that coaching search turn out ? I will educate you since you probably don't know . Tom coughlin !

It's amazing here how people will get into debates about facts they don't know

people forget that Tom coughlin was on the hot seat every damn year until he won his 1st Super Bowl...then he got a pass for a year and was back on the hot seat until he won his 2nd Super Bowl

Or, a Terry Shea... As I remember, Shea was in the midst of another awful season - with fans demanding his firing. He went through season, down playing fan reaction, but at end of the line announced he would resign, coach the last game (or,two) , and he left with class.
I would think, TS got paid what was left on his contract, as will KF, barring drawing this out.

Tom Coughlin had a history of success before taking the Giants job. So he had a proven track record. Kyle Flood has nothing before taking the Rutgers job. Gigantic difference between the two. Your comparison is beyond laughable!

Congrats on being a bigger Giants fan than me and knowing useless information from 12 years.. Get a life.

I was not comparing Kyle Flood to Tom Coughlin at all...an earlier post on the subject of Jim Fassel being fired/resigning whatever we are calling it someone said how did it turn out after...and it was Tom Coughlin like it was a huge success...obviously in hindsight it was a success because he won two Super Bowls but before those championships Giants players and fans were frustrated with Coughlin and wanted him fired...including the Giants stadium crowd chanting Fire Coughlin! during a blowout loss to the Saints in 2006...at one point Shockey threw the coach under the bus, Tiki Barber had a bunch of problems with him and even owner Mara said Coughlins time could be limited...

the same could be said for Joe Torre who was clueless Joe when he was announced as Yankees manager....and Mets fans with Terry Collins before this season....hindsight is 20/20
