We (RU) are such rediculous reactionaries to our local media it is comical. This suspension would'nt happen anywhere else.

this is appropriate. he did something stupid - he has to pay the price for it. termination would be too much but this shows that rutgers truly cares about academics and the separation between academics and sports

If this is for the email, I am completely fine with the punishment. It's a clear violation and flies in the face of the integrity Flood is branded on at Rutgers.

Answer this question fans...is there a precedent elsewhere in college sports for this action RU is taking? Remember that time (insert coach) at (insert university ) was suspended for his players f'ING up on their personal time or for emailing a professor to inquire about extra credit? I don't.

No one here knows what they found when they investigated, or what the email said so it is impossible to know whether or not 3 games is appropriate. Maybe we'll get more details later.
