I think he handled the questions regarding the state and perception of the program very well. Strongly made the point that you can't be with the players a significant portion of the day and year but you try to drive home the point of making good decision and not putting yourself in the wrong places or situations. He also mentioned a few of the positive people he brings around the team and program to serve as mentors and role models. He stressed that they are mostly kids and will make mistakes and although they hold them accountable for their mistakes you continue to love and support them just like you would your own children.
He did not seem overwhelmed or flustered by the recent string of events and the coverage and reaction to the events which I believe he is unfairly taking to much heat for. Also, he did acknowledge that everything that happens does reflect on him as the head coach and leader of the program.
As for Caroo, he did not address the incident but it sounded as if they are moving forward as a team without him.
