Didn't see or hear the game (at work) but is it true that after knotting the score at 50 we fouled 3 pt shooters twice in the next 5 minutes?
If so that's ridiculous!

Yes, and one was a four point play with about a minute to play. Corey fouled a guy on a missed three. Williams fouled a guy who made the three and the and one.

The Williams one was pretty bad. Shot clearly up. Him lunging towards to shooter after ball released. Coreys wasnt pretty either. Theyll learn and get better.

Not saying it was a accidental punch to the man-zone... but it kinda looked like an accidental punch to the man-zone....

i think that's why it was called....

tough way to loose..........

i think we can tie it up again if was 3 point deficit with 1 min to go... but 4 points was too much.....

OSU was running good screens on both those plays, and Sanders and Williams both made huge efforts to run out at the 3-point shooters and get their hands up, but were late, and could not stop to avoid contact.

On the Williams foul, Gettys need to follow the shooter out because it was Gettys' man's screen off whom Williams' man ran. There was no way Williams was getting to the shooter in time to prevent the shot, given the nature of the screen. I think the same thing happened on the Sanders foul - but it may have been a different RU player, not Gettys.

Thought the same thing, as CJ should have impeded his progress as Mike was too far behind. CJ tried to stick his hip out too late and Cam was already going by him.

Winning games is a process of making big plays at critical times.Sometimes luck is involved such as the 4 point play. Most times ,however, the winning team usually has go to scorers who will either make the shot or get fouled in the process.Yes, they will also make the foul shots. In Rutgers case they have no margin for error as seen when Sanders fouled out.The team is devoid of shooters which makes it far more difficult to put the ball in the basket at crunch time.

It looked to me that Mike Williams lost his balance on the play and unfortunately stumbled into the shooter.
