the greatness of the SEC gets dampened when a school like Florida which NEVER leaves the south [or it’s campus] to play out of conference games goes to Utah and gets decisively beaten by a solid Utah team that should have beaten them last year in Gainesville as well. Utah played without it’s starting qb to boot.
Still believe that SEC is the best overall conference for the moment but even teams like Bama and Georgia will be challenged when playing outside the creature comforts of the south. The first rounds of a 12 team playoff with teams like FL, Tex, etc playing in the Midwest and Northeast on a college campus in December will be a sight to see.
