Tip off only an hour away ! The day before Thanksgiving brings us not 1, but 2 RU hoops games ! The Fightn' Stringers at 11am, and Pike's Peakers at 7pm.

RU returns three starters and six letterwinners, including Big Ten scoring champion and All-American Arella Guirantes, along with Big Ten All-Defensive Team selection Tekia Mack, to a team that went 22-9 last season with unanimous projections for a selection to the NCAA Tournament. ESPN ranked Arella as the 15th best player in the NCAA womens BB ! The Scarlet Knights officially ended their season in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament, their fifth trip to the quarters in six years of Big Ten Tournament competition.

Redshirt senior guard Arella Guirantes led the Big Ten and ranked No. 9 in the nation in scoring last season with 20.6 points per game. The first player in Rutgers history to average 20+points, 6+rebounds and 3+assists per game, Guirantes was selected the Big Ten Coaches Preseason Co-Player of the Year and was unanimously voted to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team by the coaches and media. She is also on the Naismith Trophy and Wade Trophy watch lists for National Player of the Year, as well as the watch list for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award for the nation's top shooting guard.

And C Viv brings in an awesome freshmen class this year to boot ! True freshman Diamond Johnson, the No. 6 overall recruit in the nation according to ESPN, is one of 20 named to the Nancy Lieberman watch list for the country's best point guard. The Neumann Goretti product is a two-time Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year. And 6'4" C Sakima Walker is a Four-star recruit and No. 21 overall prospect according to All-Star Girls Report; No. 7 ranked post player according to espnW. Also F Chyna Cornwell was the No. 48 overall prospect according to All-Star Girls Report, ESPN Top 100 player No. 60, ranked No. 14 nationally in position (forward) by ESPN, 4-star ESPN recruit, grade 95 and finished her high school career in North Carolina with 2,631 points and 2,143 rebounds.

I'll try to give updates at every commercial break or time out.

Full roster

Monmouth had a losing season last year and picked 8th in their conference, so RU should be able to flash their talents.
