He was about to get hit, so three him off a littleWow. That was probably the worst throw I’ve seen in a while. And I’ve seen some bad ones.
I prefer to think of them as “special”Our coaches are retarded
That endzone play was poorly thrown. It was tight coverage but not thrown to a good spot for Melton. They showed in the Egg Bowl the throws Will Rogers throws and completes to his receivers. So many are in very tight coverage. It's something other Leach qbs have done and mention too. There's almost no such thing as perfect coverage. Now that's a little extreme but you get the point. Our WRs cannot get open. Melton was blanketed on his crossing route, as were the other WRs. Gonna have to do better than that if we’re gonna get any kind of passing game going. We had time there too.
Their defense is the 85 Bears today!Iowa 51, tOSU 66, Minn 34, Indiana 35, PSU 31, MSU 40, Michigan 59
Last 7 games, 316 pts, giving up 45.1 points a game.
I agree with all that. But Vedral is what he is, so the WRs have got to do better for us to have a chance. That endzone play was poorly thrown. I think "open" is defined differently by qbs with some capability. It would be nice if you could get some distance between coverage but that doesn't happen all the time. If the qb needs tons of separation to complete passes it's going to be hard to have a productive passing game or everything will have to be screens, short passes and what not.
Saw that. Our guy would be tossed from the game, I think. Let's see when we return from commercial. No flag on the helmet to Vedral chin?!
Sure that would be nice but don't know how it happens. I mean all WRs would love to break away from their coverage but it doesn't happen. More often it's the qb that "throws them open"I agree with all that. But Vedral is what he is, so the WRs have got to do better for us to have a chance.
Our guy would have been ejected for that hit.Matt Mullen on Helmet to chin: “Nice, clean hit.”
I better not see anyone else get called for targeting after that non callMatt Mullen on Helmet to chin: “Nice, clean hit.”
Gotta preserve Gavin for the bowl game that isn’t happeningIt's inexcusable that Wimsatt isn't playing. Or at least put in Langan and run the option.
8xClick Click Boom has been played 7x. 13:23 left in the 2nd. Enough.
Has a coach ever chewed Vedral out for his awful efforts? Or are they convinced it is just a lack of talent and just give him a pat on the helmet and a "Good try! You're trying your hardest!"Senior Game... Starter 12 games... Started most of last season... And you can’t throw a 4 yard pass to your Senior WR to make a play on the ball...
I get your point and agree. But this is another reason why you don't play Wimsatt for one play in a game earlier in the season.Gotta preserve Gavin for the bowl game that isn’t happening
Don’t know how either, but there’s one QB and multiple WRs. So odds are in the favor of them finding something versus Vedral finding something. Weak, I know. But we’re grasping at straws here.Sure that would be nice but don't know how it happens. I mean all WRs would love to break away from their coverage but it doesn't happen. That was an incredibly dumb moveI get your point and agree. But this is another reason why you don't play Wimsatt for one play in a game earlier in the season.
Hasn’t he only played in 2 games so far? Could still use him today with no consequence. Bowl game would be an exhibition, who cares if he doesn’t play.I get your point and agree. But this is another reason why you don't play Wimsatt for one play in a game earlier in the season.
