Well in Rutgers' defense there isn't much Matt Millen understands. His professional career bears this out.

Maryland came to play and are showing they are superior to our talent on the field and on the sideline. Even their coaching is running circles around us. Have to hit the transfer portal hard in offseason. We just don't have enough D1 talent on either side of the ball.
Over 4 years without a B1G win at home.

It’s not just Gleeson - He has a problem because he doesn’t really understand how bad his personnel is and he thinks they can make plays when they can’t. But the bigger problem is the head coach – why on earth would you not take an easy three points and make it a one possession game. Similarly why would you go for it on fourth and long and give the other team good field position to allow them to score. You can do that if you have top talent we have very poor talent on offense. I was one of those very happy who we hired as head coach and of course we need someone like him, but as we now remember, in the old days there were many head scratching game day decisions. This is very sad and will hurt recruiting especially against Maryland. It’s almost as if the head coach just wants to lose.
Lots of folks underestimated how brutally Ash gutted this program.

Should have just seen the TD OSU scored. Very good coverage by Michigan DB....Stroud throws it high and in the spot where his WR has a chance at it. Wilson does a great job going up for the ball and beating the DB for the ball.
That's what's needed from both the qb and wr, although obviously Stroud and Wilson are very good ones. They both did their jobs in tight coverage.

Gonna look like the jets with Pennington. It’s not a talent problem when it’s 7-0 and you know the game is over because of your playcaller.
This actually may be a Robb Smith issue. He was not successful at Minnesota or Arkansas and got fired. Schiano gives him cover here, but Schiano also has to deal with an OC that seems bewildered with how to get players to execute on Offense.
That and watching the team play is a guaranteed migraine.
