Game Thread: TCU vs Georgia

What a load of horse manure from Kirby.
I don’t think he believes it but he somehow gets his players to believe it and still have that hunger. Saban says it all the time and that complacency is the biggest enemy. He obviously instilled that into Smart. I’m sure the mantra of losing 15 draft picks and no one thinks they can do it again must’ve echoed throughout the season.

Kirby says people don't understand how hard Saban works at preparing teams

It sounds like Kirby did the same thing with GA because GA players were totally prepped, and TCU players were totally lost. Then TCU coaches started melting down on sideline when they realized it.

Good coaches remind me of musicians that can do their own great music when other coaches are just doing covers

They gave up 14 and TCU scored 37 which is nothing to sneeze at.

Why is it only viewed as Michigan shoots themselves in the foot and not TCU made plays on defense against an offense that was generally one dimensional most of the year. If Michigan’s offense was more diverse and comfortable both passing and running all year maybe they don’t make those mistakes. UGA’s offense is versatile and you see they use tempo too unlike Michigan and make TCU play on their heels defensively.
Everything you say is true and so is everything I am saying.

Michigan crushed OSU a few weeks ago. OSU Was down to the wire with Georgia. While the transitive property doesn’t work and anything can happen on any given day. But I do think the best team won it all. Truth be told after losing to K St TCU was at best a 4 seed and probably below Bama. I’m glad they got in but this should have been the semifinal blowout and if OSU beats Michigan in the rematch that’s one hell of a Championship game. But we all know they will never have 2 conference teams play on the semis especially right after they just played.

At least the semis were two great games with wild finishes.

Specifically...

Georgia 2023 Schedule:

Sept. 2: UT MARTIN:
Sept. 9: BALL STATE
:
Sept. 16: SOUTH CAROLINA:
Sept. 23: UAB:
Sept. 30: at Auburn:
Oct. 7: KENTUCKY:
Oct. 14: at Vanderbilt:
Oct. 21: Open Date:
Oct. 28: vs. Florida (Jacksonville)
Nov. 4: MISSOURI:
Nov. 11: OLE MISS:
Nov. 18: at Tennessee:
Nov. 25: at Georgia Tech

Take Georgia Tech off bold. Just because they're not Top 25 doesn't make them a joke.

I think UGA was as well prepped for TCU as TCU was for Michigan.

Kirby Smart would RUTS on his own mother
Kirby did NOT run up the score. The game clock in the 4th quarter ran non stop, even when the runner ran out of bounds, incomplete passes, etc. Georgia ran the ball almost 100% in the 4th quarter.
TCU did very little to stop the Georgia offense. They were simply outmanned and over matched.
