It's a fair card to play, but how is it then that they didn't recruit a QB for two cycles? Or how is it that the offense still has no identity? We've been watching this offense for 3 years and I couldn't tell you what they're generally trying to accomplish as you should with any cohesive scheme. Is it a play action scheme, Power-spread, pure spread, single back speed, I-formation ground and pound, West coast timing patterns, etc... I have no idea. For two years we heard it was the O-line, then it was the WRs can't get separation, now it's the QBs. At what point do we blame the scheme and say the guy doesn't know what he is doing?
None of the QBs we've fielded look like they understand the offense in year 3. THAT is a problem!
Meanwhile Cole Snyder, who I thought had the potential to develop into a serviceable player but looked lost here goes to a school not known for developing QBs and low and behold, he looks like he actually knows how to play the position. THIS is a problem
The delayed handoff up the middle makes me want to rip my eyeballs out. Get to the edge. Try something outside. Why are we running these slow plodding plays into the middle of the field.
