Not a great day for the B1G

Big Ten

Michigan State 78 Northeastern 44 - Jankoska had 19 and 10 for the Spartans
Penn State 70 American 65 - a lot closer than it should have been

Drake 81 Iowa 76 - Hmm

Other RU opponents

Wake Forest 51 Samford 40 - Penna had 17 and 10 for the Demon Deacons
Kansas State 60 Princeton 42 - Wildcats now 10-1
Bucknell 77 Cleveland State 66 - only 3rd home game for Bison, but they're 3-0
Seton Hall 89 Rider 81 - tied after 3rd quarter

Other ranked teams

#2 Notre Dame 85 Toledo 68 - Turner had 26 for the Irish
#5 Mississippi State 76 Southern California 72 - Bulldogs go to 12-0
#6 South Carolina 66 #9 UCLA 57 - big 3rd quarter won it for Gamecocks
#8 Louisville 89 Evansville 47 - never close
Tennessee 59 #10 Stanford 51 - probably gets Lady Vols back into top 25
#11 Washington 87 Savannah State 36 - Plum had 23, 8, and 8 for the Huskies
#17 DePaul 107 Loyola (Chicago) 46 - unsurprising to see that Loyola is 1-9
#19 Kentucky 59 Radford 36 - nothing particularly notable about this one
#24 Virginia Tech 92 Auburn 87 OT - Tigers came from 9 down to tie, but ran out of steam in OT

Also

LSU 70 North Carolina 43 - Moncrief led the Lady Tigers with 20 and 7
St. Louis 73 Washington State 70 - Billikens' 1st game v. P5 opponent*
Marquette 85 Milwaukee 74 - Golden Eagles seem to be better this year

*There is no truth to the rumor that I picked this game just because I wanted to write "Billikens."

Today:

Big Ten 2-2
Other RU opponents 3-1

Year to Date:

Big Ten 104-53
Other RU opponents 67-43

There have been no palindromic scores in 60 games completed so far today. There have been 15 palindromic scores in 1,720 games this season. It's been twelve tedious days since the last palindromic score.

Very nice win for Tenn but, wonder how much longer before they change coaches. Tough to follow a legend.

Don't think the Tenn HC is in trouble because this season ( 6-4 so far) isn't up to the standards the Vols usually have. They made it to the elite 8 last season and though their record wasn't as good as Warlick's previous 3 seasons of 27 or more wins ( 2 elite 8s &1 sweet 16), the 2015-16 team did make it to the Dance and had a pretty good showing.Though a 22-14 final record was below Tenn standards.
But Tenn fans are spoiled and Holly will be expected to get the program back to the way it was in her first 3 years .

But to put it another way - it is like the abuse CVS took in prior years where the performance perhaps wasn't up to expectations, but wasn't horrible. There are a lot of fans not attending Tennessee games (I hear) and Holly is not universally popular. Yet RU and most programs would give an arm and leg for the success they have had under Holly. And there is no guarantee (or in their case, likelihood) that they will return to where they were once.
