There were no palindromic scores in 27 games today. That makes 37 palindromic scores in 5,073 games this year. It's been four days since the last palindromic score.

While I'm inclined to agree with your comments - there was some talk that, with a great tourney, NC State might sneak into the NCAA's. That slight dream was totally crushed with the loss to Va Tech. As you say, not that it matters.

Well, sure, if they'd won the tournament.

Seriously, they came into the game with a 16-13 record, an RPI of 66, one RPI top 50 win and a loss to a sub-RPI 100 team, not to mention 3 losses in a row and 4-6 record in their last 10 games. Not a great NCAA profile.

I agree - it was apparently Creme that had them hanging around. I saw it mentioned on another board.

I'm not sure that I am understanding some of his selections, but I am thinking that this season there are a lot of flawed teams out there. Which is making him strain to find bubble teams.

It matters to them.

Quite an end to the WI/Purdue game - 3 point buzzer beater that wasn't. For those who didn't see it, WI hits a looooong 3 as she races up court with time expiring and WI bench erupts. Replay showed it came after the buzzer. Talk about going from joy to sadness in an instant!

I was there and to. MeE and many unaffected observers .... who don't play either team today ... It was a made shot. I want to see that replay.

But if they won three...
Vandy last year lost 9 of their last 11 and was 18-12 overall and got in.
Probably had a couple of top 50 wins but still. You never know.

Vandy had an RPI of 42, which helped. I wouldn't have put them in the tournament even then, but as you say you never know and they did get in.
