Some of you probably saw this yesterday during the Final Four broadcasts=
Carolyn Peck video commentary about the responsibility she has had as a black coach.

Again, CV Stringer is pointed out as the first and influential. And for advising Peck of her great responsibility.
Some people may be clamoring for Stringer to retire, but that seems to be disrespectful of her contributions.
I guess it is a matter of perspective and if college women's basketball is a business or if it is to help develop young
student athletes into responsible adults. I think some fans are losing perspective and get their egos and identity tied into winning at all costs. Winning is good but not the only thing is my view which I am sure is debatable for some or most of you. We can agree to disagree on this point.

Hopefully the link will work even if it is embedded in twitter since I could not find it on ESPN's page.

The long, slow slog into mediocrity has begun...

😔
Wow :WooHoo:,
guess you're aren't like some others.
They claim the slog started years ago [roll]

but like them you seem to ignore what the video is supposed to be about and turn what could be considered a positive message into a negative meaning

I am so sick of hearing about lack of black women coaches. Can’t we just get back to great coaches in general regardless of this skin color. I have many wonderful black friends and do not see them as colored friends but pure great people. The less we make things about race hopefully the less people think about it. I know I will get hammered for this but I see people and not color.

I don't even know where to begin here. ..........This country can take that huge step forward that African Americans and other non-whites have been waiting for since their arrival, when you and others with the mindset expressed in your post, can deal with what makes you so uncomfortable with this light being shined on the glaring inequities that clearly exist along racial lines.

If you're sick about having to see features on a handful of legendary Black women coaches, ...just think how tired people of color are of having to operate on an unlevel playing field. It's really simple, continue to fight for an even playing field for all, across the board, and when that exists, all talk of race goes away.

Let's start with ending voter suppression in this democracy.

As long as you have people who refuse to speak the truth or acknowledge the truth, that step will never be taken in this country.

Voter suppression is another lame attempt to draw attention away from the party that is currently in power. Black Americans don’t need apologetic white Americans explaining what they should or shouldn’t do. Blacks and people of color are intelligent and perfectly capable to see what is exactly going on in the USA . How many of these people do not have some form of recognized ID such as a Drivers License, Student ID , Work ID and if they don’t then we should address that issue since it is separate and different. No one is saying or are preventing them from obtaining proper ID in order to vote legitimately in an election. The state of Georgia has enabled longer hours , weekend hours and that is making the ruling party quite nervous. How many states have laws regarding showing proof of eligibility prior to voting? There are far more than not . If you fly on a plane you need an ID in some form . If you go to a doctor’s appointment you need an ID. If you go to MVC you need ID. The argument is nonsensical drivel. If it goes forward and is heard at the Supreme Court level it will lose based upon the need to keep voting fair and untainted as was seen this past election.
When a lie has been proven a lie multiple times, when the US Court system throws out those lies because there's no proof supporting them and still politicians use those lies to justify making laws to keep those who usually would vote against them from being able to vote easily and put up roadblocks making it hard for many to be able to vote against them, average citizens and businesses must step up and find ways to stop those positions from taking away peoples constitutional right to vote by making it hard for them to vote for the candidate of their choice by taking away the options they once had and continuing to make going to the polls harder for minorities.
Remember Jim Crow1 Laws were justified by those benefiting from keeping minorities from voting.
Jim Crow2 laws have the same type of justification BS being spread in an effort to hide the real intent of those laws, taking away the right to vote from those who probably won't vote the way the lawmakers want.
