guess next week's Miami line

I predicted in the "chance to Look at Miami" thread several days ago that Miami would be favored by 15. Several posters insisted it would be under 10. Well I just saw that Miami has opened as 16 point favorites. I still hope we can shock the college basketball world.

RU can play well and lose by 10.....if RU doesn't play well and Miami plays well coming off 2 losses, it could be a 20 point differential....15 seems about right.....8-9 points is given for Home court advantage....

If it was less than 10, it's basically saying RU is a pickem vs Miami at the RAC.....These are real teams, with real coaching staffs and gobs of experience and players that are at home.

RU staying within 8 or with a chance to win with 8 minutes left would mean RU is truly capable of bigger things this season or Miami is vastly overrated...RU could be down single digits for 33-34 minutes and run out of gas in the final 6-7 minutes and lose by 15........to be fair, Miami's pre-season ACC ranking was 9th, which is borderline NCAA bubble team, if you assume the ACC will continue to get 8-10 teams in the Dance every season.

I'm not sure about Miami's bench and NJ native Davon Reed is a very capable defender and scorer....he presents a big problem for our guards with his size and long arms, we will have to take them off the dribble or have Freeman and Getty's kill them on the glass to stay in it. I don't know if Miami gets to 70 points so 15-16 seems like an awful lot of points, unless Miami is burying 3's all night....

These are small steps on the way to progress....I'm just happy there is something tangible to discuss and the team has had early success this yeard.to build upon going forward...It will be the main thing I'm focused on tomorrow night....matching up on the road with a Power 5 opponent, with nothing to lose and everything to gain.....very good spot for RU to take another step forward in Miami....

Same guy who said over 4.5 wins for Rutgers Football this season was "literally free money" something to that effect. I don't think he is the heir apparent to Jimmy the Greek.
funny how people only choose to pick up my blips. But in week 7 I nearly perfectly predicted every single game for the remainder of the year and no one says anything about that.

Over 4.5 wins was completely and totally realistic. We barely lost games to Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota and we essentially handed Illinois a game on a silver platter.

It's all good. I just read both threads within seconds of each other and it cracked me up. It was the certainty of both posts that caught me eye.

Hawk, isn't 8 or 9 kind of high for homecourt. Obviously it depends on venue and situation but as for "typical," wouldn't 5 or 6 be more like it.

Line is 17 at this point.

Best of Luck,
Groz
