Hate to say it... But this feels like a Flood coached game

LOL OK...we don't lack talent and Ash made plenty of mistakes out there. the kids were not prepared, the offense scheme is still in question, anyone know what it is?

You and others want to continually harp on Flood but the problem today was not talent, it was coaching and lack of preparation. UW is not 24-0 in the first quarter better than us. They HAVE NOT lit it up in recruiting....

fking piss poor job by the coaches

yeah, the talent was even but the odds makers knew that their coaches were 26 points better than ours

Okay Mrs. Fliod...

....MAJOR TALENT GAP between us and them yesterday. Period. Again, not to say that the coaching issues and whatnot don't need to be cleared up, they do and I'm sure they will, but if you couldn't see the difference in talent in every unit other than our DL then I don't know what to tell you. A blind squirrel could've figured that out yesterday.

I don't care what UW's recruiting looked like on paper because that team had a very good QB, was good across both lines and had speed and playmakers in all the right positions. Yet we held them to 104 yards rushing. You know how many yards Maryland ran for in last years finale? 401. Our front 7 played well against the run which shows improvement over the course of a spring practice and fall camp without playing anyone but ourselves. Fact: we need to play real games vs other teams to get better in both new schemes. The fact that the run D got more sound through just offseason S&C, tackling drills and scheme while rolling out 3 inexperienced linebackers is a minor miracle in itself.

Credit to Petersen for scheming up ways to utilize Ross' blazing speed (a legit sub 4.4 guy) and Browning for dropping absolute dimes to their receivers. They have more playmakers than us in all 3 phases of the game. Their kicker was knocking it through cold from 45 yards out. What you Floodies don't realize is its not about "talent" compared to what we had under Shea and the early Schiano years. It's about having playmakers and we don't have many thanks to KF. "Talent" differential on paper flies in a mid major like the Big East vs teams like UConn and USF. You need playmakers to WIN championships in mid majors and just to compete in the P5.
