Hate to say it, but…

Regardless of the outcome today, you need to think bigger. One game a year at MSG (conference or not) is a good thing for the school and program for both perception and growth.
It’s forgotten and just another loss. The jollies of a game at the Garden are worthless. The irony of this case being a show case was such a disaster. Dylan plays 14 minutes and Ace has arguably his worst game. Despite all this we lost by 7. It’s a win at the RAC!

Or, Derkack plays his normal game at the RAC and we lose by 25

perception and growth happens by winning and the program is now headed to 3 years without winning...a game on cbs is no different than next weeks game vs Michigan at the rac on Fox 5

sure its great for the fans that never get to go to the rac so it helps there but conference game..no....ooc game yes

It’s not a win at the RAC. I was kind I neutral on the whole idea of playing a conference game at MSG but it was as good a home court advantage as we have had at the RAC this year. I’m not even sure we win if Dylan played - Derkack had a very efficient game on both ends and made up for Dylan’s loss. They doubled Ace, shutting him down. That could have happened at the RAC too.

It's same story every game. One guy goes off, everyone else has bad game. Just not a complete team for innumerable reasons.

We all clown on Izzo for being scared of the RAC, but we should be clowning on the athletic department for allowing it to happen.
What athletic department? Is this school going to wake up and hire a president and AD before the school year is through?

They aren't doubling Ace with Dylan healthy and on the floor.

RU prob would’ve shot a bit better from 3 if game was at RAC. Pro arenas often times have lower shooting percentages for college teams. Maybe a cou-of of Acuff or Martini good looks go down
If true - which it is probably not - same would have applied to MSU.

Ace shoots 4-17, Dylan plays 14 minutes.
We lost by 7.

If you don’t believe the RAC gave us a better chance to win….
The game was lost with 2 minutes to go
We were not going to get close enough to win, seven point loss made it seem closer than it was

You still have to get used to the fact that we will play a game, probably a league game, at the garden every two years, maybe more

And it’s RU’s choice to do so

What’s Pike’s record the last two years at the Rac vs the Big ten?

The venue had nothing to do with the loss. The bad team and bad coaching cost us the game.

Maybe Dercack who has not shot well all year, shots don’t go down.

We can go back and forth with all the excuses in the world. It wasn’t Dylan’s injury or the supporting cast who have been unwatchable all year.

It was a well coached team out playing a poorly coached team. Simple

Guys aren't shooting 6 feet behind tge 3 point line if played at tge RAC
Did you watch Gavin Griffith pull up from 8 feet beyond the arc for an entire season last year? It’s not the venue !

It’s poor coaching which leads to undisciplined players doing undisciplined things.

The lack of accountability by the coaching staff is mind numbing.

Derkack's 'big game' today made up for the 26 pts Martini and Grant combined for out in Nebraska. Dylan had 21 vs Nebraska.
Dercack had a great game and would never have happened if Dylan was healthy.

Dercack would not have gotten the time or nearly 75% of the shots he took if Dylan played 30 plus minutes.

So no a healthy Dylan would not have won the game today . Would Dylan have gone for 26? Maybe! But if he went for 26 Dercack doesn’t sniff double digits.

No argument that perception and growth happens by winning. Totally aligned with you there. The venue for one game is secondary.

Not really. Derkack took 11 shots in yesterday's game, he was hot and basically replaced Acuff and JWill as the 2G--maybe the best scenario if Dylan recovers quickly. Anyway a healthy Harper at PG would've fed Derkack more since teams hedge on him when he drives. If MSU plays it straight Harper goes off for 30 and/or finds Ace with more space and Ace is easily scoring at least 2 or 3 more baskets. I'm saying a healthy Harper gets 25, Pike stays with Derck's hot hand and gets 15 and Ace with more space gets 25. That's the winning formula. Plus Harper is a 100x the defender Acuff is and better than JWill because he stays on his feet, not slip sliding away like JWIll.

Will agree to disagree! I can easily say a healthy Harper and Dercack doesn’t play. All are possible and we still lost yesterday.

Derkack doesn't play with a healthy Dylan? Why? He's a 2G and Acuff stunk yesterday. If Pike doesn't try Derkack with Acuff's poor numbers and useless D yesterday and see he's hot then we have bigger problems lol.

You act like Dercack wasn’t a DNP coaches decision in The last week. My point is with Dylan starting and setting ppl up and making shots you don’t notice Acuff as much or if Dercack gets in he defers to Dylan and doesn’t get off to a hot streak.

It hasn’t ever been a choice. B1G forced it upon us and at their whim as to when there’s a return. Still waiting for return for last MSU game.

MSU was forced because it appears that Pike promised Dylan and ACE a game. With Maryland playing Nova at the Pru, Illinois playing Duke at the Garden appears like a major failure of RU to not get a non conference game at the Garden. Maybe our AD was too busy at gymnastics meets. Baylor? Arkansas? Gonzaga…. We’ve all heard the rumors over the years..

I guess Pike then covered up the truth

His quotes indicated that we sought out a game at the garden

You're kinda making my point: if a healthy Dylan is getting his points and setting other guys up 1) he is setting-up Ace/Grant/Lathan even Acuff/Jwill, in better position to score, or 2) if like in Acuff's case someone is still shooting poorly, in comes Derkack. Obviously a healthy Harper makes RU a much better team, and we lost by 7 to probably the best team in the conference. Again, I can confidently say with a healthy Dylan Harper we most likely win the game yesterday.

Ok I simply strongly disagree
