The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Coach, Football for The Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position is under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, assists in the coordination of an intercollegiate athletic program, must have an understanding of technical knowledge of the sport of Football with the ability to develop student-athletes to their full potential. Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Assists in establishing and maintaining a nationally competitive intercollegiate football team in the Big Ten and the NCAA.
• Recruits high level academically and athletically skilled students to attend Rutgers and to participate on the football team.
• Aids in organizing and conducting practices and competitions at a high level of efficiency and success.
• Assist in developing, teaching and instructing the student-athletes in the proper rules of play, conditioning, skills and techniques on the football field and in life-skills and leadership qualities off the field.
• Supports fundraising and public relations events that support the objective of the program and allow for program enhancements.
• Responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the coordination of the football program.
• Assists the Head Coach in developing annual goals for the program and in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans to achieve a high level of success in practices and competitions

• Requires knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA rules relative to recruiting and knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of football.

• Good organization skills.
• Ability to communicate with student-athletes and the media.
• Computer literacy.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license

Equipment Utilized

• Must be able to use a computer, email, editing equipment and recruiting database software.

Based on posts on this message board, there are a number of posters who profess to know it all. Ash and Hobbs have a plethora of candidates right here who undoubtedly will take the job for under 500k.
Not sure about that salary. It says 0.000. I think the pay is based upon number of touchdowns scored in a season.

I was hoping for an explicit "years of experience" requirement so that we don't end up with an entry level hire like last time.
