Wow! This is arguably the best video I've ever seen come out of RU and, lol, this guy "gets it!" I suggest sending this to everyone you know who has an interest in Rutgers Athletics (even if they already received it)!!!

BTW - kudos to Hobbs, Ash and Jordon, for their $50K pledges, and to all the rest of the coaches and administration who have already made pledges as well!

He's good. He stroked some guys in Trenton, and even showed some SL articles. Looks like we finally have the right AD after all these years. Too bad we can't send him back in time to 1979.

Really cool of ash, ej, Hobbs and flood to kick in $50k apiece.

Don't get a rise in your bloomers. Flood didn't contribute. Would be cool if he did though.

Right, he said he was joined by EJ and Ash in the 50k pledge. He didn't say Flood pledged 50k (not to say Flood didn't pledge at all). He added that every coach and administrator has joined in making pledges.

Though not to say what one should do with their money, I'm a little disappointed Barchi and Stringer did not join Hobbs at the 50k level.

It doesn't take much to get me all wound up again for football but that sure did. Looking forward to my call.

I'm going to dissent a bit here. It's actually not a very good video if you're using it to fundraise. The namechecking of the governor and legislators will impress only them and won't help raise money. (I get that he needs to give them credit, but there are much better ways to do it.) He seems to be shouting most of the way through the video and, frankly, he doesn't appear to be a very good public speaker or, at least, wasn't that well rehearsed.

I'm glad that they're doing this and likely will contribute, but as kickoffs go, it was meh.

This has been raised before, but why can't Rutgers put on a concert in HPSS, and charge $100/ticket to raise funds. If they could get Springsteen and/or Bon Jovi on board, one show grosses over $5 Million, and it raises awareness of the cause.

You think they are going to do it for free? Crew, band members, security, event staff....it would be good to do if it could be pulled off, but RU would receive a fraction of that.

OR....just ask them to donate. They are each worth $300 million.

'Springsteen Athletic Center and Sports Performance Facility"

Very interested to see if we get some whale donors to jump on this project at donation levels we have never seen before here at RU. Perhaps they have been waiting in the wings for a plan to surface and for something concrete to materialize - which it finally has now with the renderings and a $25m jump start from the state

That they can put THEIR name on.

How much did C Vivian give? She's been the biggest facility complainer and has been here longer than the rest. She has been talking about leadership for some time; surprised that she's not in for a million.

Alright you jack wagons, I'm in, now the rest of you contribute and post here when you do.

We will have to agree to disagree. I am on that exact opposite side of the spectrum from you. I think it was very well done, I think the name dropping of the NJ Legislators shows that for once the state government is supporting us, and the fact that the administration is pushing this also is significant. In addition, I liked the RU? Personalized it even more.

Some people would be ripping Hobbs if we paid "too much" for a professionally produced video. Great job RU. Never remember anything like this over the last thirty years or so.
