Curious in everybody's thoughts about where we would be right now if we hired Hurley instead of Jordan?

Would we be better off right now?

What was the original hang up with Hurley? Was it that we wouldn't offer the length he wanted or he didn't want the job at all?

It can't possibly be worse than where we are now. Probably be close to .500 is my guess.

We would have played defense the past 3 years. Our roster would look a whole lot different.

We would have been in the same spot this year! But we may have had a better class coming in next year.

I was always behind EJ, but my issue this year wasn't the play....it was recruiting.

he would have gotten Tyler Roberson and Isaiah Briscoe from Roselle Catholic

If he got his 7 year deal? He would come back for year 4. If he got dealt the same injury hand as EJ? Likely fired by the same fanbase that wants him now.

he wouldnt have the same players thats for sure
You mean Danny wouldn't be able to get Sanders and Freeman !!!!!!!
I think he'd be able to get some good players, don't be so down on Hurley:
Think Positive o_O

you mean two guys who got lengthy suspensions...probably not
Probably they'd be like a Center that took off a year for"Personal Reasons" and then decided RI wasn't where he wanted to be.
Kid was a top 150 recruit that Baron got to commit and Danny kept him in the fold.
RU doesn't need a player that gets punched out in an off campus "incident " and when treated for a concussion it was found out he had more of them in the past.
Then another player gets a one game suspension for not following the rules.
You can bet Sanders and Freeman wouldn't be the type of players on Danny's roster.
Glad you pointed out what kind of trouble makes on the RU roster that wouldn't be recruited by Hurley.

By the way, great way to show support for 2 of the RU players.
I don't know what they did, so have to go by what you implied and think it was something so terrible that they shouldn't be at Rutgers.
But I think maybe they deserve our support and not be put down so their suspensions can be used to make a point about the type of recruiting a potential RU HC does.

Coming off of a 8-21 season at Rhode? "I demand seven years!" RU on the hook for seven years.

Better coached, worse talent. If he would have had the same rash of injuries maybe we would have had two or three more wins that this team.

Worse talent? Again, comments like that make me wonder how many games you've watched the past three years.
And you obviously have never watched games other than Rutgers. Williams could have been the best player on our team with Hurley.

disagree strongly...URI has more talent on the team currently than RU...truth
Is it really though, or is it that they were never coached correctly (which I understand is the fault of Jordan). I mean we are talking basically we struck out with every Rivals Top 150 guy in the last 12 years. Are you saying that Rivals was wrong every time? I mean I have a better chance of winning the lottery while being hit by a meteor than that.

bac, we are talking like 0 for15....forget about basketball that has never happened in the history of any sport in any college

we had bad coaches...Hill was the guy who set all this crap in motion..never should have been hired...disgrace by Uncle Bob and he extended him to boot
