i was interested in seeing if other boards, commenters from other schools are like Rutgers fans, whining complaining, but full of school spirit. I went to Sryacuse.com and looked at the comments around a new commit.

I can only say "wow", we are better fans, and "boy do they have it bad".......

I dont really get into the TTFP bashing or watching cuse fans whine, but that was eye opening.

At least the see through the BS especially as it relates to Manning.

Wow, in that link is a picture of the Orangedome that recruits pose in front of for photos. The picture still has "Big East" written on the turf. Quite embarrassing.

The funniest thing about that page is their certainty that every time they lose a recruit it's because he didn't have a "commitable offer."

Because obviously they were holding the ship for that guy with zero offers...and KAtsenhuber who just committed to Harvard lol. They may indeed get Dymelle Parker who certainly would be a comparable get and a good commit for them, but honestly I take the manning stuff with a grain of salt. Even Battle supposedly had slipped in the coach's estimation.

My theory is that when word that a kid is slipping away gets to the staff they spread these cover stories. They wouldn't be the only ones. Plenty of rationalizing going on on our boards as well. ("Ron Johnson isn't that good!")
