Interesting article with quote's from NBA scouts and execs on Ace and Dylan. Obviously as a Rutgers fan this season has been more disappointing than any of us expected, but in terms of their NBA outlook it didn't make a difference. Just as we've all come to realize with the roster, the NBA recognizes the supporting cast around them is "subpar for the Big Ten level" and are basically giving them a pass for being on a losing team. Also interesting to see how they feel both have shown "growth" throughout the season (i.e. Ace improving his shot selection and willingness to do what the team needs and rebound).
Would Ace and Dylan have benefitted from being in a dynamic offense with a better supporting cast? Obviously yes. But it's also very unlikely either would've beaten out Coop for the #1 pick and they'll still both end up going top 5 (most likely #2 and #3) just as they were projected out of high school. This doesn't make it feel any better that Pike and the staff completely failed with the opportunity they had, but good to know that Ace and Dylan took a chance on Rutgers and its not going to hurt them in the end.
