Rutgers is 6-3 in B1G when Ace and Dylan are both healthy

We are 14-14

Anybody want to venture a guess if all 28 games only 1 was healthy what would our record be?

I am not far off that 14-14....

I do think Dylan has a lot more value than Ace.

ABSOLUTELY WE BEAT IOWA AT HOME without one or both of them.
ABSOLUTELY WE BEAT KENNESAW STATE without one or both of them.

also EVERY school has gone through injuries or major flu at some time this year so we will need to parse through every single other school and determine their health status

so while the ncaa would consider dylan injuries for part of the year, they would also say well with him healthy non conference they lost to Kennesaw and Princeton and went 7-4, with him healthy later in the year they lost at home to Iowa. They are not saying well Steve Pikiell had a lot of freshmen and new parts to work with and his teams traditionally have trouble early so lets give him a pass

14-14 is a very accurate reflection of who they are. If RU finishes 17-14 it will also be an accurate reflection of who they are.

IDK, I think it's possible Ace's development would be further along without Dylan.

When both Ace and Dylan were healthy (6-3):
  • PSU - win (5-13) at home
  • OSU - LOSS (8-10) road
  • UCLA - win (11-6) at home
  • Nebraska - win (7-10) road
  • Illinois - win (10-8) at home
  • Iowa - LOSS (6-11) at home
  • Oregon - LOSS (9-8) road
  • Washington - win (4-13) road
  • USC - win (6-11) home
When either Ace or Dylan not playing or limited (1-7):
  • Dylan flu:
    • Indiana - LOSS (8-9) road
    • Wisky - LOSS (12-5)
    • Purdue - LOSS (11-6) home
  • Dylan ankle:
    • PSU - LOSS 5-13 raod
    • MSU - LOSS 14-3 neut
    • NW - win 6-11 road
    • Michigan - LOSS 13-3 home
  • Ace illness/asthma:
    • Maryland - LOSS 11-6 road

Would it be crazy to think our expected record should be 6-3 in the healthy games and 2-7 in the unhealthy games assuming both are actually healthy?

Not sure whatb people think of this take.....

0 Dylan or Ace BAD
1 Dylan or Ace GOOD
2 Dylan and Ace not much different than 1 of them
Roster dependent. Think with this roster we'd be worse with just one of them. A more well rounded team may be better with just one guy with such high usage. Ace is so dangerous that Dylan's talent still doesn't draw a defender away from him. Teams can basically play a triangle and 2 against us.

question is how worse?

Pretty confident we are worse defensively with both of them as opposed to 1. I think we make it up offensively, but not by much.

Just my opinion.

There is 1 basketball, it isn't like Ace has a ton of assists. When the double comes he either shoot it quickly or shoots against both of them. Dylan has shown more passin out of double teams and penetrating and being a passing threat.

I so disagree.

Ace is a willing passer, has deferred to Dylan willingly, and has used fur a lot of nurses open shots

It’s all excuses. We lost to bad teams with both healthy. Coaching and effort is the common denominator
Right?! All speculation is silly. Do I wish we won more. Yes!! We all do. But we are what our record is. And there’s a least three stinker examples of when they were both healthy. That’s more than 10% of the games played.

For all the possessions he has touched the ball he has 29 assists.

Good news is he is improving......

15 of those assists are in the last 7 games.

When Ace is penetrating he is NEVER going to pass it. He will pass only AFTER he is completely stopped.

Saying this will guarantee twice tonight he will find an open guy off the dribble.

I think Ace has gotten much better at moving the ball to an open guy, the assist don't rise because the shot is often missed.
