If Zach Allen commits to RU, is he the favorite to win the QB job?

Threw 2 passes in 3 years at TCU. Moved to WR last year. Not exactly the stuff of QB legends.

He also had a heisman trophy contender ahead of him for the first two years

He had 3 QBs ahead him at TCU , he was 4th on the QB depth chart and that is why he moved to WR and ultimately transferred. If he comes in and wins the QB starting position we have really bad QBs in Laviano and Rettig.

We should not be overly excited based on his reported career.... He might turn out to be good, but would not bet he beats out our entire group of qbs.

I'm in your camp. Has to be rusty, and learning a new system should be a lot to overcome. That said, may the best man win.
