We see the things that everyone has been saying but inexplicably go missing for games at a time:
- Gavin gets passed to when he’s wide open for 3
- Noah gets his minutes back from JMike, because he found his 3pt shot finally, and can hit his FTs where JMike is like 30% FT shooter if that
- Ogbole and Oscar take the rest of the mins from Wolfolk down low
- They call more than 1 Cliff pick and roll for easy dunk with JWill and Derek per game
These things all happen in our wins this year, great wins vs Wisconsin, Nebraska, Northwestern. And inexplicably, we do not do them in our horrible losses in PSU and MD. Is it because the players forget, or that Pike forgets to call these plays, makes the wrong subs, etc - it’s probably both. But we’ve seen what this team can do when we do these things, which is why losing like we did yesterday is so frustrating - Gavin wide open and guys werent finding him or not passing to him inexplicably .. Noah riding the bench for Mag to miss 3 wide open 3s and JMike to miss 4 free throws more like 8 with the one and ones … 1 pick and roll all game and Cliff doesnt even look for the ball, it bounces away then they don’t run it again the rest of the game and Derek gets glued to the bench. So frustrating BUT we know that we can do these things and still win any and all of the last 4 games if we go back to this
