Interesting Robert Martin tweets-glad he plays for us!

Yeah there are better ways to put things....kind odd IMHO...but kids will be kids.

Whatever motivates him...I'm OK with.
If this motivates Hicks...all the better for us...No?

Hopefully the new coach gives equal opportunity to both. Even with a new offense you need to RBs..But watch Peoples. He may fit well with the new offense..

Actually - take a few minutes and think about it - he has said something interesting , clever & on the mark.
Remember at the start of the year - and throughout most of the season, the backfield was this three man rotation - of ...James - Hicks - Martin ... not always the same order - but always the "rotation" was paramount ... it took priority - regardless of whether or not one guy got super hot - - -

so ... on some level each one of the three of them must have felt like they were
- "the back-ups back-up"
This is not a swipe at a teammate - but it is a moment of venting - venting at & about the rigid "rotation" that had to have been incredibly frustrating.

Flood underused Martin. I have no doubt that Ash or anyone else with a clue would have Martin as the #1 back.

Martin is very good but Hicks is our most talented back. Both have near NFL talent IMO.

Now about that offensive line...

Didn't I read somewhere that one of our incoming coaches is a social media expert? Coach M. maybe? He needs to have a sit down with the team. We can't have kids being kids.

Martin and Hicks rotated at #2, James was #1 and had the most starts while the leading rusher varied

Hicks and Martin are both very good and worthy of playing time. The issue was Floods commitment to a set rotation regardless of who had the hot hand and was running well. He would rotate three and at times bring Goodwin in on 3rd down passing situations. I think you can feature two backs but not more than that.
