Bac

Love you man, but this one you are off on

In total…our parking and ticket costs have not gone up any more than inflation in the last 5 years …

Been to a movie lately? Heck , it cost $110 for 4 of us at the edison diner for basic fare after the game on Friday night

People need to undo the costs of things becsuse cost on everything has gone up

Rutgers basketball, is a reasonable cost event compared to the sporting world ….

not sure of names but avenue e ? then hospital rd. Left restaurant at about 6:30 got to game right before sing of anthem.
Yes, ave E was an easy entrance
That said,
keep it between us

One notation about the ave E entrance
If you get in the wrong lane, no need to panic, there was a break in the cones half way in, where you could switch lanes, hopefully that remains

I just got free tickets to DePaul at Texas A&M…men’s BB…because I’m taking mom, I’m parking at the arena vs walking over from the hotel. Parking is $5 🤣

Parking was a disaster today. So we are paying more for less attendants and less parking ingress points open. That was completely ridiculous . Who is in charge of game day parking because it was a disgrace
I’ve written a few letters and survey responses and recommendations over the last few years regarding the ineptitude of green lot ingress coming in from Suttons Ln. Still a disaster and never a reachout to discuss. The guy running that area of responsibility is useless. Last I checked I believe makes > $300K in salary. No accountability.

The free lots are still free. You guys can light $30 on fire if it floats your boat.
I need to find these as I don't mind walking a bit to avoid paying these rates. Years ago the library was an option but I thought they cracked down on that. I also thought across the street from the yellow lot there is a small residential area where I have also parked in the past but not in awhile. The challenge with walking a distance in the winter is the difference between the outside temp and inside the JMA where it can get very warm with a full house.

Hopefully it’s $50 next season so we can just price the “Bidenomics” guys out. Not that any of them actually go to games

I haven't yet used the library lot this year but I did a few times last year and I was not ticketed. The other lots are pretty obvious if you look at a map of Livingston.

I respect people don't like to give away secrets, but let's ask the question a different way. Are there any campus lots that are not safe to park in? I assume there's no issue anywhere for the weekend games, but what about about the weeknights?

Obviously there are no guarantees and you never know what Rutgers will do but I'm being 100% truthful when I tell you I've been parking in two different lots on Livingston for basketball games for many years and never received a ticket. Many other people could attest to the same thing I'm sure.

Def don’t disclose your spots
RU will start ticketing them

I'm considering going to the UVA game this weekend and just checked their parking price. It's $5 per game and we are talking about UVA basketball...

If you buy the season pass and go to all games, it's $16 per game. Keep in mind for next year I guess. Hopefully they don't raise it again...

When I was studying Rutgers, I wrote a paper on campus parking. This was in the late 1990s. The focus was on student parking fees, not sport event parking.

Rutgers charged students a fraction of peer schools to park cars on campus. Something like $50 per semester versus $500 at colleges like Penn State and Syracuse.

I met with Rutgers director of campus parking, a retired cop. I asked why Rutgers on one hand encouraged students to travel using buses and bikes, but on the other hand charged a below market fee to students to park their cars on campus.

The answer was the Rutgers president at the time, Francis Lawrence, was a extreme fiscal conservative who wanted to keep costs as low as possible for students and minimize the amount of money Rutgers bureaucrats had to spend.

Those days are long gone, especially with this new Prez at RU

Administrators and professors who are of one particular political ideology
Rutgers sports administrators, especially coaches, likely have more diverse political ideologies than administrators on the academic side and the professors.

These sports administrators, based on recently agreed contracts, are partaking in the jump in salary and benefits spending as much as anybody at Rutgers.

I was referring more specifically to the left-wing indoctrination that occurs in the classroom and lecture halls
