I’m all for the $30 fee, people were asking what the reason wasStrange that you and the rest of the CE board cabal seem to dislike capitalism that much.
Yes, ave E was an easy entrancenot sure of names but avenue e ? then hospital rd. Left restaurant at about 6:30 got to game right before sing of anthem.
One notation about the ave E entranceThanks for clearing up the Suttons Lane issue! Guess nobody read this before sending it out (bullets 3 and 4, smh)
No...the poster who originally responded with "bidenomics" was out of line. Some of us are just responding to it, as I said initially it had no place on this thread but the mods chose to leave it. Hence the pissing contest. Where was your objection on the "bidenomics" post? You are out of line...take your crap somewhere else
The reason is very simple, it's Economics 101. Supply and demand.I’m all for the $30 fee, people were asking what the reason was
Maybe they will charge for Iowa game - now a sell out.Parking is free for womens games
Wrong again. Take it up with Newell who was the one that brought politics into the thread. You are out of line...take your crap somewhere else

Really? Were you going to park for less near the RAC?Total rip-off!
I’ve written a few letters and survey responses and recommendations over the last few years regarding the ineptitude of green lot ingress coming in from Suttons Ln. Still a disaster and never a reachout to discuss. The guy running that area of responsibility is useless. Last I checked I believe makes > $300K in salary. No accountability.Parking was a disaster today. So we are paying more for less attendants and less parking ingress points open. That was completely ridiculous . Who is in charge of game day parking because it was a disgrace
I need to find these as I don't mind walking a bit to avoid paying these rates. Years ago the library was an option but I thought they cracked down on that. I also thought across the street from the yellow lot there is a small residential area where I have also parked in the past but not in awhile. The challenge with walking a distance in the winter is the difference between the outside temp and inside the JMA where it can get very warm with a full house. The free lots are still free. You guys can light $30 on fire if it floats your boat.
I haven't yet used the library lot this year but I did a few times last year and I was not ticketed. The other lots are pretty obvious if you look at a map of Livingston.I need to find these as I don't mind walking a bit to avoid paying these rates. Attendance would dip to 2kHopefully it’s $50 next season so we can just price the “Bidenomics” guys out. Not that any of them actually go to games

Obviously there are no guarantees and you never know what Rutgers will do but I'm being 100% truthful when I tell you I've been parking in two different lots on Livingston for basketball games for many years and never received a ticket. Many other people could attest to the same thing I'm sure.I respect people don't like to give away secrets, but let's ask the question a different way. Are there any campus lots that are not safe to park in? I assume there's no issue anywhere for the weekend games, but what about about the weeknights?

Sadly, most of us were not smart enough to get into UVA so we’re subjected to decades of high parking fees at RU.I'm considering going to the UVA game this weekend and just checked their parking price. It's $5 per game and we are talking about UVA basketball...
Virginia Tech is FREE. I wonder what VCU charges?!?I'm considering going to the UVA game this weekend and just checked their parking price. It's $5 per game and we are talking about UVA basketball...
Good to see you start to admit at least one of your immense shortcomingsSadly, most of us were not smart enough to get into UVA so we’re subjected to decades of high parking fees at RU.
Those days are long gone, especially with this new Prez at RUWhen I was studying Rutgers, I wrote a paper on campus parking. This was in the late 1990s. The focus was on student parking fees, not sport event parking.
Rutgers charged students a fraction of peer schools to park cars on campus. Something like $50 per semester versus $500 at colleges like Penn State and Syracuse.
I met with Rutgers director of campus parking, a retired cop. I asked why Rutgers on one hand encouraged students to travel using buses and bikes, but on the other hand charged a below market fee to students to park their cars on campus.
The answer was the Rutgers president at the time, Francis Lawrence, was a extreme fiscal conservative who wanted to keep costs as low as possible for students and minimize the amount of money Rutgers bureaucrats had to spend.
Agree. Jon H has $300 million more to spend in 2024 compared to last year. $200 million is going straight into the pockets of administrators and professors in form of wages and benefits. Only expense being cut is scholarships. Those days are long gone, especially with this new Prez at RU

These sports administrators, based on recently agreed contracts, are partaking in the jump in salary and benefits spending as much as anybody at Rutgers.
