I guess I'm not seeing your point. I'm well aware of all of this information as is anyone else who isn't living under a rock.

There are some delusional Paterno supporters who think the statue is going back up and the university is going to honor Paterno in some way. Ain't gonna happen.
President Barron was very precise in how he worded his statement. Some Paterno supporters saw it as some type of huge win that Barron made a statement. Barron stated the obvious without saying much of anything. IMO it was done to simply keep the money rolling in.
I hope you are right. But I was pretty sure the NCAA would not go completely gutless and give back the 409.
I think Barron is playing a double game. When the NCAA, B1G, Middle States are around he talks about all the progress they have made with compliance and moving forward.
He offers dog whistles to the crazies trying to keep them at bay. Attacks on the media and such that feed into the conspiracy wing nuts. Again I hope you are right that Barron in the end is going to give them the cold shoulder. But trying to placate fanatics with "reasonable" responses is a slippery slope. They are never satisfied.
As I recall, about a half dozen. Funny as hell. Really Veeck-ian.That's interesting. How big was the basket? How many balls would it hold?
