Latest photo from HPSS....pretty cool to think this will be seen on every tv in the country

Think of it this way, when what would eventually be called Rutgers University opened it's doors, your school was nothing more than a cow pasture. And where your stadium sits now, there was nothing but big steaming piles of cow sh*t [poop].
Actually in 1766 the Crappy Valley area was most likely virgin forest. Shame the cut the timber.

Flip flops and patchouli oil too?
I loved the whole scene back in the day numbers.

Hawaiian shirt and my standard deck shoes. Everyone was casual, except my wife, who was in a typical big white wedding dress, with sneakers, so she could still dance and run around playing games with everyone - that's why we called it a punk rock picnic. We have an awesome photo of her reaching out and catching a frisbee in that dress. Never heard of patchouli oil, lol...

Other than the idea of using the 50yrd line markers (which isn't' that bad of an idea) I think it was executed well.

And I do like how @iReC89 picked up on the future...

Some heads are going to be scratching when they change the 250 to 150 in a couple years, but I like it.

I was definately thinking a lot more dead headish.

what, no bitching about the alternating shade of green ?

It's very obvious to me that the color of the grass has faded every other 5 yards, accept at the midfield line. Looks very sloppy.

I acknowledge that RUTGERS is 250 years old.And 250 is a quarter of a millenium.BUT, this a FOOTBALL STADIUM. I would rather see 147 as the number ,changed each year, and let the Broadcasters pound this fact into viewers heads. That RUTGERS is the oldest, longest playing,Major conference FOOTBALL PROGRAM in the country

According to sports-reference.com there have only been 101 years of Rutgers football. It appears they have gaps from 1924-1945 and 1893-1913 among some other one year gaps here and there. Comparatively Princeton is counted for 109 years with their last year being in 1981. The site does claim to only include major teams which is why I assume the Ivy's stop in '81. So was Rutgers playing during the gaps but not at what would be considered a major school level or was there no football at RU during those years?

We should be proud to be part of the 8th oldest university in what is now called the United States of America. It is still hard to swallow that Harvard was already 130 years old (est. 1636) when Rutgers was born. But we can beat them in football and most other intercollegiate sports.

Could the sun angle be part of the issue. The seats don't match in this photo either.

Do not like. Would have preferred it be along the sidelines at about the 25. 250 on one side and the actual dates in opposite corner.
