RU in third place, tied with the second place team and one game out of first place and unranked.
Meanwhile, three teams in 7th, 11th and 12th places are ranked.

Agreed. I’m not saying it was bad. I’m saying that it’s not surprising that there are ranked teams in the middle or bottom third of the B1G standings. It’s too early to simply say those at the top of the league standings should be ranked.

That said, we’re very close to being a ranked team I think.

A quick look at the upcoming schedule, based on the game being home or away, and strength of opponent, gets me to 19 wins. I feel we have a very good chance in those that I figure and this would be without any
Upsets that I think we are capable of...... so 20 wins is a decent goal here

For sure. Not as much as a death knell people made it seem like especially with our bounce back. They still count a lot as Bonnies are a Q3 on a neutral court and Pitt a Q2 but seem to be fading.

I was simply saying at this point we are ranked comfortably in the top 25 without those losses and essentially our only losses being to a ranked illini and MSU.

I listened to an Indiana post-game podcast last night - they were killing IU for lack of effort but also saying how determined and physical we were.

Not any kind of death sentence but both still bad loses. We can pretend to minimize it but if we were playing either team this weekend, we would expect to blow them out.

With that said, it is college basketball and stuff like this makes it interesting. Hopefully we win some unexpected games to more then balance it out.
