Maryland Game Postponed but RU Women set to resume

Women's Basketball Postpones Game at Maryland - Rutgers University Athletics

Announced that Thursday's game against Maryland is postponed. As separate release from NJ.com indicates that they will resume play next week and that the B1G will be rescheduling games to deal with the current problems in several programs. Not playing Maryland away with only a few days of workouts is a smart move.

Wow they are not going to play many games this year unless they play 3-4 per week to make up all the lost games and it will be over a month from the time they last played not a great situation

Similar situation all over. On the Men’s side, we’ve played 10 conference games but Nebraska is at 5 and Mich St is at 6. Penn St is at 7 and while Michigan is at 9, they will likely miss the next 4 in a row.

On the Women’s side, we have played 4. Only one team has played 10 (Wisconsin 0-10). Most teams have played 6-8 games. I’m sure the kids are anxious to play.

16 games in 5 weeks is gonna be tough to schedule and play. I guess it’s not necessary to get them all in just most of them.

True, and need to have a good W-L showing in the games able to play.
Also , with games missed,need a good showing in the B1G tourney for a dance invite

I’m also curious if the BIG goes forward with the conference tourney. That would buy some additional time to make up games. They were talking about this on the ACC network yesterday as being an option for them.
