Ash with 2 of the top 5 in three years. At least Gary went down significantly in year 3. Ash had his worst in year 3.

3-4 year avg.
Ash = 84%
Shea= 82%
Flood = 54%

If Flood could have landed Barkley with Russel at QB....maybe.

It's only fair to note that Ash has had a far harder schedule than his predecessors. But his results have still been unacceptably bad.

Who wouldn't kill to have those 30s/40s back again? Like we had in 6 of Greg's last 7 years, with a pass, IMO, on 2010, due to the LeGrand tragedy (and Schiano's worst year in his last 8 was still as good as Ash's best year). It's so sad how far this program has fallen since Greg left - right back to Shea level ineptitude.

Flood also benefited from well stocked cupboards. The team from his first season had 10 guys drafted.

You gotta look at the number of teams involved not just percentile. There are 13 more teams since 2001 and most are pretty bad. Yet the good teams are still up front. Schiano never finished worse than 112. Ash has broken that record twice in three years with a 113 and a 117. He has the 2 worst ranked teams in Rutgers history.
We are drifting further away from football success even with more bad teams in D1.
