Media day press conference with Head Coach Steve Pikiell and Player Comments

I don't think anyone in the universe can say anything even slightly negative about Steve Pikiell. He loves to coach basketball, an is one of the most personable people I have ever listened to. Pikiell might be the best hire Pat Hobbs will ever make in his life.

Many of us have dissected minutes, and who will play enough to tear apart a whole cow and college laboratory.

People have been very high on Baker from the start. A shooter must be in the game at least 15-25 minutes. At least. For that reason, I think you see Sanders, Baker, Williams, Freeman with the majority of the minutes this year. I see a more traditional lineup to start, but a ton of flexibility in game with subs, and matchups.

Omoyuri will hardly be on the wing on the perimeter.

Starting on day 1 will probably be something like Sanders, Baker, Thiam, Freeman, Doucoure.Just to be traditional to begin. Williams first one off bench, followed by Mensah, and then Omoyuri.

Not who starts, its who secures the win. I see a lot of of different lineups, but I think we all agree the bulk majority of minutes are Sanders, Baker, Williams, and Freeman.

I look forward to boarding the spaceship on Sunday, and turning the RAC upside down.

Small step for Pikiell, a giant leap for Rutgers Basketball.

What a great article written by Cal Schwartz. I have never seen the team, and the tournament mentioned so much.

Good things are on the way.

I went to a Knicks game last night. I would take the RAC any day of the week. My brother and I both strongly agreed on that. It was one of the first things we said upon leaving the Garden.

Jake Dadika chooses dinner with Jayson Williams???
Shouldn't Corey know better to say his goal is to improve his stats?

I love all the other answers, especially mike Williams.

We get it, you don't like Corey Sanders..

Big deal, he is not a polished speaker.

Scoring more, more assists, more rebounds, better foul shooting, better FG and 3 PT shooting, more steals and less turnovers.....that is all improving his stats and it probably helps the team win more games.

What's wrong with everyone having individual goals to improve their stats in the above mentioned areas? That translates into more wins.
