Minnesota Players to Boycott Holiday Bowl

How long before Claeys is gone? The day he was hired people from Minnesota called him their version of Flood. Hired to save the class and a program setup to win. Just like Rutgers' 2012 team should have won 10+ games and the BE it didn't. Minnesota won 8 games this year, but things were setup to win around 10 games. The very same issues that hit Rutgers under Flood are now starting to hit Minnesota.

I suspect he gets another two years, unless they go 4-8 next year...

Wow. Just read though that report. That's just awful. Those guys are lucky all they're getting is expelled.

I read it too. Not sure why anyone would want to defend players.

Well, Minnesota just gave me an iota of a reason to watch a non-playoff bowl game-to root against the Minnesota players!

Once the players announced their intent to boycott the game and the administration said they were standing by the suspensions, the bowl committee, perhaps in concert with UM officials should've withdrawn the bowl invite. Who knows what if anything the players may do, and in any event it would've sent a message that poor conduct has consequences.
