Biruta was like 6'8 and came ready to play. He was more of a high floor low ceiling kind of guy IMO. Not someone I'd say had a ton of upside.Of the guys nentioned in this thread, I think Biruta and Echinique had the most upside.

I agree with this. Honestly, all 4 freshmen have the potential to be really good here and develop a ton.Myles has the most upside both offensively and defensively. He has low post moves, a center’s body, his footwork is already improving and his bank shot off the glass should be automatic soon. We have not seen the drop step since Game 1 or 2 but I expect to see it soon. Plus he is an excellent passer and keeps the Bball high so he doesn’t get stripped like most big men. Tremendous Bb IQ. His defense is what he must work on, to slide his feet and bang without fouling. His block shot potential with his wing span or even altering shots will also likely improve.
I have not been this excited about a legit center at Rutgers since Hinson although Greg Echnique had me excited until Rice blew it up. He does not have Bailey potential but Hinson got better and better every year and I predict Myles will be better and better. He will go from 5pts as a frosh, to 8-9 as a soph, 12-14 as a junior and I fully expect him to add a jumper and he goes 15-18 his senior year . This was a great Pike recruit.
I think alot of people will disagree with your hands assessment at this point in his career. Crazy type of upside if he get develop and mean nasty attitude. He's too nice and soft out there
what'd you want him to say, he's not worth a shit and has poor hands? lol. Man some of you people don't stop with me. I've said, I think his ceiling is extremely high but he's still raw and doesn't know how to use his size to his advantage completely yet, his hands arent as good as they will eventually be. I mean if you want I can pull quotes of him speaking highly of issa, kiss, bullock and souf too. damnJohnson is especially adept at the outlet pass. Pikiell also calls him “a good shot-blocker, with great hands.”
From Carino article in Oct. Pikiell would disagree with you.
