I am Johnson Park tailgater. Always have a good deal, probably 50/50 RU vs road team when playing BIG teams. Without a doubt the nicest, most friendly awesome fan base I've come across yet. My group hung out with a few other Nebraska groups near us and the couldn't have been any cooler.

great to here ...its what I experienced last year in Lincoln
...Nebraska Nice

Ditto. The Husker fans that tailgated near us were giving us hugs goodbye after the game. They had driven from Iowa to get here. Universally a great, nice group of people. Of course our very own, @huskersalways was around and a hit with everyone.

Most were nice. They did have a few obnoxious goons in 116 throwing the crossbones after every defensive play and other nonsense.

Speaking of crossbones, how stupid of us to honor the professor from Nebraska who was 'rooting hard for rutgers' yet throwing up the crossbones.

About as much a d'oh! Moment as was playing the "Heroes" commercial with coach Flood's monologue during the MSU and last night's games. Except the booing that elicited was louder..

We tailgated in Johnson Park for a little while before the game and had a great time. Rutgers fans were all very nice and glad the NU fan were great as well. Thanks for all the recommendations as well and the Johnson Park lot couldn't have been more convenient for us. I have no idea with the B1G 9 game schedules coming up when we get back out to Rutgers for a game, but will be there again for sure with the family. Good Luck the rest of the season and the future (with a new coach I would imagine).

It was great to meet huskersalways on Saturday. Glad he made his way over to the Blue lot clam bar. Thanks Mrs Screw for the intro. What a great guy to talk to!

We had about 6 Huskers fans at our tailgate. One of them had hosted my father-in-law and me about four years ago for a game versus Washington in Lincoln, so we had a chance to return the kindness.

Husker fans are probably the ideal college football fans; they root hard for their team, they are gracious to their opponents, they don't like losing and they are gracious in victory or defeat.

The 3 best fan bases I have encountered over the years: Tied at #1 - Virginia Tech and Nebraska, #1a OSU at Columbus

Thanks for the kind words. Most importantly, I am happy to hear the young man who suffered a neck injury is doing well!!

Did you say @huskersalways hit on everyone? I'd heard a rumor about that from last year. [winking]

I made a point to welcome as many as I could to the stadium. Then in the evening I was staying at a hotel that a number of Nebraska fans were staying in before flying out Sunday. Again made small talk with them at Dinner and Breakfast. Real nice folks.

I always say respect is a two way street. We can be a pretty rough fan base. Yet, I'm sure the Nebraska fans felt very welcome. Without exception, they were respectful and complementary of their visit to New York and New Jersey and our tailgating scene.

All their fans were awesome. And it was meeting one of this boards like grime friend huskeralways! Great guy as is his son.

OK this is a "humor" column and this guy is not gonna make anybody forget about Larry the Cable Guy but...

Breaking Brad: 4-win Huskers at conference foe Rutgers in November – try explaining that to your 2005 self
* Ten years ago if you had told me that in mid-November Nebraska would play a conference game at Rutgers while trying to stay in bowl contention, I’d have told you there were better odds of a space alien landing atop Oldfather Hall.

There are still a lot of B1G fans, including a very nice I talked to after the game, having trouble getting their heads around this.

I had a great time, was in the lot at the RAC. The bus system was very well run, maybe the guy that runs the bus system can give Flood a few pointers.

Glad you had a great time. Maybe the guy that runs the bus system can get him a ride that takes him far, far away...

I've taken the bus to the RAC a bunch of times. I think it is very well run, given the number of people they need to accommodate.

People who complain about our bus system:

- Rutgers fans
- New Jerseyans who come watch games at Rutgers but are fans of other schools (PSU/OSU/Michigan, etc...)

I park at the RAC after getting frustrated in the Green Lot last year. After I wait in line, and take the ride back to the RAC, I still get home faster than I did out of the Green. Plus it's much cheaper! I think it is very well run.
